BLEEDING EARLY PREGNANCY?

Hi Mums,

Sigh. So my spotting went from mucus thick tan, to light watery brown, to watery rustic orange/red then back to rustic brown/red over the coarse of 2 days. It comes and goes but usually when I have a BM (Bowel Movement) TMI, sorry. But yes, a BM. I've been having to go number 2 a lot lately too. Which also concerns me. It's not diarrhea though, so that makes me feel a little bit better.

I'm supposedly 5w3d today.

I have AF like cramps but I've been napping and relaxing on my day off. Trying to not move so much or get too worked up. That's another reason why the need to go number 2 worries me. It just seems like a start of my period. (Symptoms)

Has anyone experienced bleeding/spotting, AF like cramps this early? I'd like to hear your personal stories.

I need to hear some successful stories! But also, the truth.

Let's hear em ladies.

Thanks. Blush

I had bleeding early on in my pregnancy. Sometimes brown, sometimes red. At one point I bled quite a bit but when I had an ultrasound they found a heartbeat. I couldn't believe it, thought for sure another miscarriage. Anyway, they didn't actually diagnose it because they couldn't find a hematoma (I think that's what it's called) and later said I had an "irritable" uterus. So basically unexplained bleeding. Bleeding lasted a few weeks from what I remember and I tried to stay off my feet at much as possible. Was very paranoid but everything ended up being fine.

I’m so sorry but this sounds like the start of my miscarriage 🙁

I had this at 5 weeks, it was basically like a period. Having previously had a miscarriage (no bleeding until 12 weeks and then it was thick gloop) I went to the nurse, there wasn't much she could do , she did however ask the EPU to see me and scan me. They did at 8 weeks, wouldn't before as less chance of seeing a heartbeat. We went in and boom there was a strong little Hb. Now currently cuddling my 4mo son back to sleep.

My bleeding at 5w like I said was like a period. I put myself on a sex ban until.it stopped as figured it may have been irritating my cervix. Sometimes.your body just clears itself of what it doesn't need.

My advice, take each day as it comes and call your EPU tomorrow. They are usually lovely. Good luck OP. All the best.

@NewInTown08 Wow that's incredible. Congratulations. That gives me a lot of hope. Thank you so much for responding-sometimes you just need to read some positive stories to make your mind rest for a while.

@Toomanygerbils Don't be sorry! I asked for truth. Sigh. I hope it's not. The cramps have let up but I'm bleeding like a light period. I'll keep an eye out and I'm so sorry for your loss. Thanks for responding.

@Snowflake9 Wow thank you for sharing that with me. That's what it seems like, a light period. Light for me, anyway. Cramps aren't AS intense. I have a doctor appointment in 2 weeks or soConfusedConfused.
I'll be about 7 weeks 3 days then. I hope they can do an ultrasound.
Goodness it stinks being left in the dark. But your story gives me hope. Thanks so much again.

Hi OP!

I had some minor bleeding between 5-7 weeks pregnant. Again like you it was always after a bowel movement! It was never heavy and ranged from pink to brown and would always vanish after going to the toilet.
I did some reading and found somewhere about a bleeding cervix. When you're pregnant there's a lot more blood down there so a small spot on the cervix can bleed caused by straining. I thought it could be this.
I'm sure you could find what I read online. I shod had cramps daily till about 20weeks to the point I was concerned when they went!

Obviously that was just my experience - I'm currently cuddling my newborn as we speak so all worked out for me. I would never like to diagnose anyone but thought I'd share y experience- best of luck to you!!!

@Ladybug4023 I'm 4weeks 2days and also having brown/pink discharge after bowel movements. No cramping, just feeling very sick.

I went to a walk in centre for advice yesterday and they told me that I'll have to wait and see over the next few days. It could be irritated cervix, but it could also be the body gearing up for miscarriage.

I really hope you have good news. I'm not feeling overly optimistic for myself at the moment. I'm not very good with waiting or uncertainty!

@NewInTown08 @Snowflake9 I got my HCG levels back and they went down

They were 99 on Thursday the 2nd

And yesterday the 9th, they're 90

So they went down 9 points which worries me since it's not by a whole lot.

He wants to get an ultrasound before I go back for a follow up. I'm guessing to see the reminisce. I wish that with it falling, it was lower! It being high still worries me. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Xx

Unfortunately it wasn't good news for me. A chemical pregnancy I think they call it at the early stages like I was.

I hope your appointments and scans go ok Flowers

NewInTown08 · 11/01/2020 20:00

I don't have any advice but I hope things go well at your ultrasound. It's so hard but these things are really out of our control Flowers
