Hello ladies. I need some help working out my bra size please! I've always been pretty small in the cleavage department but now I'm 22 weeks pregnant and my bras are digging in a bit. I bought some back extenders which have helped but can see the cup size is too small so I've decided to pick up a couple of new bras in the sale to keep me going.

I have looked online at sizing and am so confused! There are some shops that seem to take your underband size as the literal bra size measurement, but others seem to add a few inches to it? What's the right way to do it? Or does it just depend on where you buy from?!

I know I could go and get measured but really can't be bothered when I just want to pick up a couple of bargain bin cheapies to keep me going! Also given different shops clearly measure differently I've no idea where to go now! I've measured myself and I'm 31.5 inches underband, 37 inch bust. So am I 32DD or 36B?!?! Help!

I would say 32 DD. You don't add extra inches to the back size. Try using this calculator

Another vote for 32DD.

I've just measured at 32F from my normal 30D, 28 weeks pregnant. I have a bit of a mental block against buying a bra that big - I'm not used to being booby! Blush

Thanks for your comments ladies. Well, I just went to M&S to look at their sale. I ended up trying on about 15 bras varying in size from 32DD to 36B! The 32DD bras were a no go - band was way too tight. So no idea what is going on with their measurements, i am sure of my own, I repeated the measurements about 5 times! Settled on a couple of bras at 34D.

Who would have thought buying a bra could be so difficult?! Anyone else had problems with M&S sizes? I am definitely going to get fitted when I need nursing bras!!

I bought a load of Primark wireless bras, they're set out as clothes measurements rather than bra measurements. They're so comfortable! Im never going back to wire.

With nursing bras, it is difficult to get the right size. So I found some good "flexible sized" nursing bras on the Nursing Bra Shop site. It means that as your size changes, as your milk comes in, the bra still fits you. Here is a link to their flexible sized bras: www.nursingbra-shop.co.uk/flexible-sized-nursing-bras.asp and an explanation. I think some of them even go up to a J or K cup. The Royce Blossom bra was good for me
