Upper Stomach Pain / Tightness

Hi all,

I'm 9 weeks and all is well but I've noticed my stomach feels super tight. I'm talking actual stomach here, like where your food sits. It's like I've been doing crunches or being sick all night . Any time I stretch (I like a bit of yoga) I can really feel it - stiff, burning, tight muscles.

Just wondering what this could be as I haven't heard or read about it anywhere? Or has anyone else had this? It's quite annoying more than anything!

I had this too in early pregnancy! Felt like I'd done a load of sit up, as if my abs were sore (and my idea of a work out at that stage was lolling lethargically on the sofa between dry heaving and bouts of vomiting)!

It went away as pregnancy progressed (now 16+4). I looked it up and did find quite a few others have had the same, so I would say it's no cause for concern Smile

Thanks @Foxd0g !

It's just so weird isn't. Haven't actually been sick yet so maybe it's just my stomach working hard to prevent that haha!

I can't quite remember when it started but by 12 weeks I remember my whole abdomen felt very firm. I assume that although the uterus is still down quite low and you can't see anything, it's grown enough to start pushing intestines and organs up and out of place and taken away and spare squidgy stomach space.
