Had a miscarriage at 12 weeks a couple of months ago and I've found out yesterday I'm pregnant again and worked it out at 7weeks, I'm unsure how to feel? I'm stressing the same will happen again in a few weeks? The midwife said last time the sac and the hormones were there there was just no foetus

Hello Abigail2512, I've never posted on here before but after reading your message I feel like I have to as I am in exactly the same position as you. I also had a miscarriage at 12 weeks in October and I am pregnant again, I am unsure how far I am but believe it could be around 7-8 weeks. Like you I have been worrying quite a bit and obviously there are no guarantees but from everything I've read there seems to be no reason why it should happen again, I believe we have the same chances as having as successful pregnancy as anyone else. There are a lot of women on here who have had successful pregnancies after having a loss. I'm just trying to think that every day that goes by without anything going wrong must increase the chance of everything working out OK, also I believe that early pregnancy is a stressful time for anyone regardless of their history. I hope you are keeping OK and I am really hopeful things will work out for both of us. Sorry if this wasn't the reply you were looking for but I really felt I had to write something as we are in such a similar position.

X

Hello, it's nice to hear from someone in the same position, yes we're just taking every day as it comes and keeping things very private for the time being! Sounds like we're the same as I've worked it out that I'm 7+1 weeks, I'm having a lot more positive signs this time round like a lot more nausea and I've got a bigger bump now than what I had at 12 weeks but every day is still a worry. We've looked into those reassurance scans so going to book one of those in the coming weeks just to put our mind at rest x
