Lost my Green NHS Folder

Hi,

Has anyone ever lost their green NHS maternity folder? I have torn the entire house apart and cannot find it anywhere. I'm 35 weeks pregnant. Any idea how to go about resolving this? My next appointment is for a scan at the hospital and I don't want them to turn me away as I haven't brought it. I see my community midwife after that.

Have you checked all pockets of bags you might have taken to appointments? Your car? Your desk at work, if you've gone straight there after an appointment?

If you really can't find them, text or call your midwife in advance of your next appointment. They can't refuse you treatment for a genuine mistake.

Car?

I've checked everywhere including the car. I seriously have no idea how I managed to lose it. My guess is my MIL or cleaner has moved it somewhere or (god forbid) thrown it out! I'm also not the kind of person to lose things - I haven't lost a set of keys or a phone since I was a teenager!

Is it under your couch? I wouldn't worry about it if you cannot find it, all the information will be on various systems and it can just be redone. As PP said just call your midwife :)

What a pain! Please don’t panic though. You are not the first & wont be the last. I had a client once who was super organised & had put her bag, notes etc ready in her car because she was in early labour -her car was stolen overnight!
Some of the info can be picked up from other systems, but not all, so do keep thinking where they might be but you definitely won’t be turned away. Suggest you ring your midwife tomorrow & she can organise new ones for you. That usually makes sure the originals turn up. Good luck

They won't turn you away if you don't have notes. People turn up without them all the time, and you certainly won't be the last woman whose notes get themselves lost.

Phone your midwife tomorrow to get yourself a replacement set, if it will help with any anxiety phone the ultrasound department as well to make sure it's ok you don't have your notes. I'm sure they'll tell you it's 100% ok.

Did u leave it at your last apt?

Think back to when you last had it. Look on your calendar, when was your last appointment? At least your'll know you had it then.

Then you will have to consider all bags, etc that you've used, places you've gone since. Put in a cupboard when putting up Christmas decorations?
