Hi, I've just found out I'm pregnant, are there any good pregnancy books out there anyone can recommend? Just for some light reading and information? Thanks Smile

Hi there, @L008y - we're just bobbing on here to say that we've moved your thread over to our Pregnancy topic and hopefully folk will be along with some recommendations soon. In the meantime, you might find this guide useful.

Sioban Millers hypnobirthing book is amazing, she founded the Positive Birth Company. Would also recommend her hypnobirthing digits pack!

The Unmumsy Mum is defo my favourite, less about pregnancy and more about parenthood as a whole but it's hilarious

2nd vote here for Siobhan's hypnobirthing book, although this is just about the labour.
I went to my local library and got out a few random books e.g. pregnancy for dummies and also googled A LOT & downloaded the Ovia app and chatted to other pregnant women on that which was great.
Congrats btw!

What to expect when you're expecting is a very good pregnancy book, I've kept hold of it and read throughout both my pregnancies.

On the other side, a book to avoid is The Contented Little Baby book. It makes everything sound so easy, like you can pick and choose exactly when your baby sleeps and wakes. Hated it!
