I’m 15 weeks pregnant, I’ve never had bleeding or anything so far. When I wiped myself there was a TINY spec of blood. I always check really thoroughly and I guess it wasn’t so obvious at first but then I could tell it was blood. I do suffer with UTIs and thrush, the thrush won’t go away no matter what treatment I have. I’ve just recently finished a course of antibiotics for the uti

No advice really, I know lots of women bleed in pregnancy but I don't blame you for feeling scared. Can you call your midwife tomorrow?

Sizeofalentil · 31/12/2019 20:30

It's probably sore cracked skin from thrush if you wiped hard and had to scrutinise it. Even if it wasn't, the tiny amount in no real worry. But contact your midwife to put your mind at rest

Thank you guys, I’ll mention it to midwife tomorrow x

If it was just a speck it sounds like a tear on your skin from wiping.

If you’re worried, you could always call 111 or Early Pregnancy Unit for advice. They are likely to tell you to just monitor it. I went through miscarriage at 9 weeks last June and was pretty much told to ‘wait and see’. Mine started as brownish discharge, only very slight at first. They don’t seem too worried unless you are bleeding heavily enough to soak a pad within an hour. It’s common to have some bleeding and after 12 week scan, the chances of miscarriage reduce. If you’ve had a UTI and thrush, it is likely due to that. It’s impossible not to worry and think the worst, I know. But try and keep calm and rest. Positive thoughts coming your way. Smile

I had a panic similar to this recently. Blod upon wiping and I was 25 weeks. Turns out it was a cut from having sex. I've never had this before, but got my boyfriend to look and there was a little split. Probably blood from a cut somewhere?

Halloweenbabyy · 01/01/2020 09:34

@Rubyroost more than likely. The thrush has left me so sore x

Don't worry. If it gets heavier ring triage. I bled at 14 weeks became quite heavy and lasted a few days but everything is fine. Turns out I had a low lying placenta.

I know this sounds stupid but was it actually from there? I had this when j was early pregnant and then realised it was actually from my finger which I got on the toilet paper.
