SCARED OF ECTOPIC?

Hi Mums!

Neurotic me again :-)

My symptoms have tapered off which kind of worries me. I still have sore bbs and SOME light cramping here and here-almost a pulling on left and right side. But no bleeding so I'm trying to stay positive!!

Anyway-I sit at a desk 5-6 days a week. And my left shoulder blade, or maybe a bit lower is so SORE and achy. I feel like it needs to be cracked.

No bleeding. I had a very light spot a couple days ago of light light brown mucus-like discharge. sorry TMI. I think it was leftover implantation though for I'm about 5 weeks today and had no implantation spotting!

Has anyone experienced achy muscles, bones, upper body this early? I'm so scared of ectopic. Driving me mad.

I have a dr appointment in 2 weeks ! Confused

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks again! Happy New Year Crown GrinStar

I've had upper body pain this time, a very sore and stiff neck and achey shoulders. After doing some crazy googling it looks like shoulder tip pain is one of the last symptoms of ectopic usually and the pain is where your arm and shoulder connect. The first is usually abdominal pain on one side. Try not to worry! If you're concerned speak to MW or GP, I've not had this with either of my previous pregnancies, they're all so different! Congrats!

Hi @Ladybug4023

I'm just gone 7 weeks and have a new stress every day! Think it is normal for those who have slight anxiety anyway Blush I had some brown spotting friday evening into Saturday morning and most my symptoms have gone so I got an emergency out of hours appointment with a doctor who felt my stomach, asked if i had any pain which at the time I didn't and explained about ectopic pregnancy but said I was likely having a threatened miscarriage and to rest. As the spotting stopped once I got home I have just got on with it but at work yesterday (also a desk job) my shoulders started aching so went into panic mode OH is saying I always moan that my shoulders ache so its probably just that and me being paranoid. As its only an ache and I haven't had anymore spotting and only the occasional cramp I was going to wait until my private scan sunday. I can't really help with any of your questions but thought I would reply as very similar experience! Trying to be positive but feels like every dodgy symptom I get I'm googling like crazy!

I was worried about ectopic due to one sided abdominal pain I had at about 6 weeks. I got sent to EPU and everything was fine but midwife said that if it's pain from ectopic you really know about it - and it's very specific. On the NHS website it says the shoulder pain is "Shoulder tip pain is an unusual pain felt where your shoulder ends and your arm begins". My midwife also said generally that as long as you don't have bleeding it's very likely everything is fine (and even a bit of bleeding can be normal). It doesn't sound like you have anything to be worried about.

More generally I would say symptoms do come and go in the first few weeks, and also you are often hyper aware of everything, probably quite emotional and hormonal and your body is doing weird things. It's really easy to over think things. Unless you start to feel a lot more pain or have bleeding, I would try and just take one day at a time and focus on the fact that the odds are in your favour.
