Hello,
I'm a bit worried, my daughter is 3 months plus a week and we think I may be pregnant again but I have been reading that there can be a lot of problems with pregnancies this close together. Anyone know anymore information to stop anxiety going mad?

I don't have any medical info but I do have a brother 13 months older than me and we are all fine. My partners daughters are also 13 months apart. Its quite common.

It does increase some risks, currently 29weeks with the same gap (two days between due date and ds’s birthday) but the midwife herself wasn’t overly concerned. Like a higher risk of preterm labour but as she said it’s not a massive increase.

Theres more of an issue if you had a csection with your first but vaginal births don’t seem as affected.

Ironically I’ve kept better in myself this pregnancy and had practically no issues besides heartburn from hell. with ds I bled for 17weeks, hg, really low iron, leg cramps, spd, pgp and he came two weeks early after I developed pre eclampsia. I’m being monitored more but that’s because of previous pre eclampsia not the short gap.

I have 12 months between my 2 and ds1 was an emergency section so not ideal timing.

However other than being knackered and feeling a bit of a wreck I was fine.

Good luck and congratulations Smile
