Quad test results

Hi all,

We've received our quad test results and we're low risk at 1 in 16,638 which is really encouraging. The question I have is whether this applies to the Edwards and Patau's syndrome as well? The letter from the midwife only mentions Downs Syndrome but I'd asked to be tested for all 3 syndromes.

All other test results have come back perfectly fine so it maybe that I've missed something, its been a crazy month with a few complications and scares!

Thanks x

That's weird. My results gave one result for Downs and one for Edwards and Palau. It was really clear. I'd ask your midwife. Maybe different NHS Trusts do it differently.

Congrats on your result Smile

Thank you - I'll give them a call and see what they say! Thanks again :)

The quad test only screens for Downs, it’s the combined test that also screens for Edwards and Patau’s

Hi OP yes I've been reading about the screening tests as I've recently had my booking in appt. the Quadruple test screens for Downs only. They should have a thorough look during your anomaly scan at 20 weeks for any abnormalities that may indicate Edwards or Patau's.

@Keyboard 91 thanks, I'll speak to my midwife about it
