Hi! My first time posting at 15+4 - please be nice!! Just been contacted by my hospital asking if I want to participate in a Pregnancy Circle Trial...now, I've read up quickly and got my own initial opinion, but just wondered if anyone else has been asked about this and what thoughts might be?? I havent got much time to decide!! Thanks in advance! 😊

Hey,

I'm 35 and 15+6 with my first too 😊 sorry, can't help with your question though, I've never heard of pregnancy circle trials x

Just looked it up! Doesn't sound like my type of thing but might be good if your looking to meet other new mums at the stage and form friendships or a support network x

Thanks CoffeeAndCarbs! And congrats 😊 No, to be honest, the more I've read and talked it through with the other half, it's definitely not for me either. Plus it sounds very much like a way to make cuts - 2 midwives to a group of 12 women for 2 hrs, rather than your usual one to one midwife appointment. Even though the current appointments are only 15-20 minutes, I think I'd rather my midwife care be about me, not shared between 11 other people! Surely that's what the additional option of NCT is for! I think I just needed another sounding board, so thank you for answering!x

No problem at all! I agree, I'd prefer a short one to one than a drawn out group session. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy ☺️ x
