I've recently found out I'm pregnant (6w,6d) and I'm not having many obvious symptoms of pregnancy so I guess I'm looking for a little reassurance that it's normal.

Ive started needing the toilet in the night, and don't seem to be able to sleep very well due to being uncomfortable. I had a little morning sickness last week although mainly just wretching but that now seems to have gone. I know it seems silly but everywhere is telling me I should have morning sickness in full swing by now and I don't. I'm sure I'm going to be told to count myself lucky or that it's still early days. It's my first pregnancy and I'm just worrying it's not a very good sign.

Thanks for any input Smile

Hi Smile
I'm only 4w+2 and I've had quite a few already and worried that this isn't normal Confused.
I think it can be really different for everyone and we'd worry either way, it's such an important time. Maybe you could seek some professional advice if you're still worried? I know Tommy's website have a bit where you can talk to someone qualified.
Xx

Apart from movement at about 19/20 weeks, I had none! Awful acid the last trimester but yeah a very much non event.

I was waiting for the glow, the head in the toilet with awful morning sickness, the achy hips, the waddle and the exhaustion but it never came!

Having said that, I had the weirdest dreams all throughout pregnancy and stopped as soon as little one was born!

Congrats on your news Smile

With my 1st 16 years ago I had no symptoms what so ever, I didn't have a bump (just looked fat) but my bum got huge Confused, he was also a very lazy baby & didn't move, ever!!

kkr168 · 30/12/2019 08:21

Sorry posted too soon.....
This time around I've gone off food but then wake up starving during the night, slight nausea at various points throughout the day, I can't brush my teeth in the morning without being sick. I've been giving them a quick once over in the morning then a thorough brush later in the day, for some reason I'm not sick when brushing later?? Also been so tired & I'm only 5/6 weeks

GaaaaarlicBread · 30/12/2019 08:23

Currently 5w+1 . Itchy and sore boobs , extreme fatigue and on and off appetite but that’s it x congratulations! X

Boymummy3 · 30/12/2019 08:52

Never had any symptoms at all with my 1st I felt Completly normal untill last trimester then I got a bit of heartburn. Every person and every pregnancy is different don't read into it too much on Google or from what other people experience as you are not them and Google just tells you the symptoms of pregnancy that don't actually apply to everyone.
2nd pregnancy I got dehydration and a kidney infection early on so I felt horrid but apart from that an being knackered I still didn't get sickness or nothing.
This pregnancy I've felt absolutley awfull since early on sore boobs.,nausea, heartburn throughout, exhaustion etcc so as you can see it does vary. X

I found out I was pregnant at 3+4 and by 5 weeks my boobs were really sore, I was emotional and I started to feel a bit sick but when I turned 6 weeks the sickness fully kicked in and I spent the next 6 weeks stuck in bed I was so sick.

Laurasaurus · 30/12/2019 09:29

Heya I have no symptoms either, I have been trying to get pregnant for a few months now and felt almost like I've given up but last night realised I was 2 days late sort thought I better although I expected to be disappointed and ah 2 lines woo. But it's weird because I have no symptoms I don't "feel pregnant" not that I want sickness lol

mywrencalls · 30/12/2019 09:40

I'm currently 10 weeks, found out before period was due but had no symptoms until week 6.

Nausea was pretty bad for a while, food aversions have been insane, weird dreams, very sore boobs, occasional fatigue.

Since week 9 the nausea really started to improve, food aversions are still strong. Had my best day so far yesterday, felt great for most of the day.

I've lost half a stone in 3 weeks though, I think that's because I can't eat anything remotely sweet and so diet has been healthy.

I'm really hoping the nausea doesn't come back!

Sarahlouise86 · 30/12/2019 11:28

Thanks everyone for replying. It does seem there is a big range of symptoms and timing and good to know that not everyone gets sickness.

I guess I'm a bit worried because I had it and now it's gone? But maybe it will come back (not that I'm wishing for it!).

I've booked a scan for next weekend when I'll be 8 weeks so hopefully if symptoms haven't appeared by then it will put my mind at rest either way.

@Sarahlouise86 The nausea definitely comes and goes, I've had 3 or 4 good days im a row and then hit with an awful day. Yesterday was great for me, today not so much.
Lots of women don't have any symptoms and lots of women feel absolutely awful. Try not to worry x

annlee3817 · 30/12/2019 11:45

I started getting sore boobs at around 8.5 weeks, but other than that no symptoms. The boob soreness would come go too, didn't help that my manager at the time said that symptoms were a sign that pregnancy was progressing 🙄

brightbird · 30/12/2019 12:24

I had no sickness at all - now 31 weeks. Early things I noticed were tender breasts, hotter, occasionally a bit faint. But extremely mild symptoms. Oh and, not getting my period when expected. If I'd not had that and been looking for things I'd probably not have paid any attention!

Sarahlouise86 · 31/12/2019 08:25

Thanks, I’m really trying not to worry! My head is telling me I’m being irrational as everything else seems to be fine and no pain etc but you just can’t help but worry can you. I did nearly throw up when I opened the fridge this morning so I’m going to take that as a positive sign 😁

Morning @Sarahlouise86 I am currently 11wewkd pregnant and I had the same worries as you because you until 9 weeks I felt completely normal. Since then I have had slight nausea on and off but also terrible cold which has probably contributed. I was so worried that I booked an early scan which showed everything was fine. It’s hard not to worry I know, but i was reassured at my early scan and from my midwife at my booking appointment that it’s completely normal.

Missdrifter · 31/12/2019 09:48

Sorry *11weeks!

Sarahlouise86 · 05/01/2020 13:25

Well my symptoms still haven't returned but i had a scan yesterday and saw a little heartbeat and they put me at 7w6d so a couple of days ahead of where I thought.

I'm going to try and relax and take the lack of morning sickness as a positive.

Thanks everyone for your comments, it's nice to know there's people out there you can reach out to when you're feeling unsure!

@Sarahlouise86 pleased your scan went well. It sounds like you might be one of the lucky women who have very few symptoms....I'm jealous!

I'm just under 8 weeks to and have had a hard time so far.... nausea, heartburn, headaches, sore boobs, cramps, diarrhoea and constipation (taking it in turns), acne, dry skin, itching, weird dreams, mood swings...you name it, I think I've had it lol

UnexpectedItemInTheShaggingAre · 05/01/2020 14:28

Last time, nothing until flutters at 16 weeks
This time I’ve been vomiting since 4 weeks. Didn’t get a + test until I was 6 and a half weeks either

hjbows88 · 05/01/2020 20:26

I just had sore boobs at that stage. Had a bit of excess saliva and craved potatoes weeks 6-8. Never got any sickness and other symptoms like headaches didn’t kick in until second trimester x

FirstTimeDS · 05/01/2020 20:31

Found out at 6 weeks, up until then I just thought i had a funny tummy. Felt nausea twice no vomit tho, bit of back ache. I did have horrible cramping that I assumed was me starting my period..obv period never came 😂

PixieDustt · 06/01/2020 10:31

I had sore boobs for a day at 16 weeks. That was the very first symptom I had and heartburn from week 24-38 but that's it.
