So I’ve gone from 2/5 engaged to 4/5 engaged in under a week.. I don’t really understand the whole /5 thing but midwife thinks baby will be here New Years...

Well I’ve been losing a lot of discharge.. it’s a greenish clear and sticky looking ( if that makes any sense ) I’m losing a lot of it to the point it’s in my underwear and when I wipe.. I’ve been feeling really ‘odd’ and sick today too... and been getting a tight feeling in my stomach and period like pains through out the day.. anyone else experienced this or experiencing this? Any tips? I’m pretty uncomfortable now and all... not exactly sure if I wanna try get things going or not.

I'm also 36 weeks and experiencing pretty much the same, extra discharge during the last week, tightness/Braxton Hicks, nausea and period pains so I think its just out bodies getting ready!

Not heard of the of the /5ths engaged thing my midwife said baby's head is engaged at the last app but she didn't say how much. Good news is you're very nearly full term at 37wks so don't have to worry if baby decides to come early!

I'm actually hoping mine does come sooner rather than later (as long as she's healthy and ok)...I can't imagine my belly being 4 weeks+ larger!!

Do you mean 4/5 to 2/5 as if baby has gone from 4 to 2 it means it's come back out of pelvis?... I was 4/5 last time I seen midwife I'm also 36 weeks and I'm sure he's moved down again it's so uncomfortable.. The green/clear discharge sounds like your plug is coming away which is good news means your body is getting ready although could still be a week or so yet.. The pains could be braxton hicks just keep an eye on them see if they get intense and regular I've been having these since 32 weeks they are a nightmare but mine are BH. Good luck hopefully you are not waiting much longer

The /5 is how low into your pelvic area your baby is.
All sounds good, birthing ball if you have one or a walk. Could ask for a sweep at next appointment. Sounds like losing your plug- which you can do anytime really.
Hopefully wont be long for either of you now, I remember that uncomfy feeling I definitely had it with my last a d he came at 38 weeks to the day.

I had green discharge when my waters broke with meconium. Please phone midwife unit or hospital for advice as that can be dangerous.
