How many weeks are you?

I am in my 2nd preg and I think that in some ways it is harder as I know too much about all the things that could go wrong! I spent the weeks before my scan worrying and it would seem that a lot of us do the same! It's really normal to feel like this, but if you want an early scan, hey, why not?

is there any reason that you feel you need one? if it is purely for reassurance, and there is no indication anything is wrong, then you are best to go private, as most EPAUs are overstretched with urgent cases....

before around 7+ weeks, you are unlikely to get the reassurance of clearly seeing a foetus with a heartbeat, so best not to have one too early

im not in any pain as such, ive only had like cramp pains in the left lower stomach.

its just when i had my first pg i had a bleed at around 10 weeks and the doctor came out and said i was misscarrying and nothin can be done about it. but days laterwhen i had a scan the baby was fine. and shes now 3 years old, i still wonder till this day whether i was carrying twins and lost one other people say that too.

If your having pain any your worried ring the Doctor on Tuesday and they will examine you if they think its needed they will refer you to your local EPU. I am 5 weeks today and have been having pain in my back and left side for a week now I rang the doctor last Monday and was sent to the EPU as they are worried about an EP I have had blood tests 2 one on Monday and one Wednesday and everything looks ok I will be having a scan on Tuesday 5+2 to make sure all is in the right place I know until then I wont beable to rest and every twing and ache will be because it is an ep so I know how you feel but as the doctor said to me if your not bleeding all should be ok good luck x
