Tomorrow is eviction day!

So tomorrow is the big day - my induction!

I had a sweep on Friday and was told I was 2-3cm dilated with a central cervix which had shortened to 2cm. Midwife also said she could feel baby's head!

Been hoping that the sweep would set me off on my
Own - has a few niggles over the weekend but nothing regular.

Lost my mucus plug this morning but again, nothing in terms of contractions which tbh I wasn't expecting anyway!

I know it's virtually impossible to induce my own labour at home. But I can't help but wonder if there is anything that I could do to help myself along?

I've been bouncing on my birthing ball, keeping as active as I can, walking up and down the stairs, drinking pineapple juice and eating pineapple, nipple stimulation.... but not had anything so far lol.

I feel so impatient even though I know the ball will be rolling tomorrow at the latest!

Vacuuming got things going for me a few times op!!

I had my sweep sat, got a second tomorrow then induction Wed if nothing happens. The wait is horrible isn't it? I have a nice curry for tonight and am hoping to go naturally before Wed.

Thanks all - just rang labour suite and they are super busy with emergencies so I've got to wait, which is understandable although frustrating as I'd love to get the ball rolling now.

Hopefully I'm not waiting much longer to meet my baby boy! X

Both times for me once plug was gone labour started soon, not same for everyone but maybe... good luck! I think I’d be hoping for a new year babe if I were you!

My dd was due Xmas eve but came NYE instead!!.
She loves it!! 13 tomorrow!

Still at home - the labour suite rang and told me they stopped taking inductions due to staffing levels and the amount of emergency cases coming in.

Hoping for a call tomorrow with some good news!

Good luck OP! I had my induction started the evening of Boxing Day in similar circumstance ( starting to dilate and thin, good sweep having lost lots of plug ) and I had him the next day! Found the whole experience very positive, albeit painful much better than my ‘natural’ foreceps delivery with DD 5 years earlier.

Labour suite - still no guarantee I'll be induced today even though I was cancelled from yesterday. They're having to work on priority and clinical need which is understandable.

I'm just in so much pain with my PGP. The whole reason I was to be induced a week early was so baby is potentially easier for me to birth and to avoid me going over my due date, so I'm a bit antsy!

Hopefully I get some good news later today or tomorrow morning.

I had a hot bath once I lost my plug and ended up giving birth 3 hours later. I swear by it to move things along!

I was induced luckily enough I got in the day I was supposed to but DS thought it was a good idea to stay snug as a bug for 4 days 😂. Hope you get in soon OP!
