Sweep/induced weeks 36-37...what to expect?

Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. I've had extra growth scans since reduced movements at week 27 along with a positive uterim partus test result. Extra scans are showing that baby's growth is tailoring off, now on 10th percentile and weighing 5lb ish or under (I'm 36 weeks now). I have an appointment with consultant on Tuesday but they've already told me it's likely that they'll either induce me early, or try a few sweeps before inducing (which I was told is unlikely to start labour but could help when being induced afterwards). Anyone else had any similar experience? Can they accidentally break my waters by sweeps? Everything else is ok btw (blood pressure was slightly elevated last time but only a little, no swelling, no headache/blurred vision, no protein in wee etc). Just to add I am also small at 5'4.

Hi yes I had a similar situation. I had growth scans fortnightly and she was consistently below the tenth centile so I was induced at 37+4.
I was 1cm with a difficult posterior cervix when they put the first pessary in. 6 hours later and no developments I had another pessary inserted. Used this time to bounce loads on the ball and walk laps of the hospital grounds. Felt very slight cramps at this stage not painful.
After 6 hours they were able to break my waters, I was 3cm at this point.
All hell broke loose and baby was born 2.5 hours later. As soon as I stood up after my waters broke the pains were incredible she must have just needed that to happen to come down. No time for anything except gas and air.
All in all a quick positive induction. I needed an episiotomy and she was 5lb 3oz but I've healed amazingly and she's gonna be 6 months old next week.

No experience with early induction but I had a sweep last time at 40 weeks that broke my waters.. it was a slow leak that I only noticed a few hours later! The sweep didn’t start labour so I had to be induced within 24 hours (as per protocol when your waters go).. good luck 🧡 hope all goes well!
