Second visit to EPU in 10 weeks... What to expect?

I'll be 10 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Between 5.5 weeks and 6.5 weeks I had some brown spotting. Went for an early scan at the early pregnancy unit and saw babies heart beat - everything was fine. Since then I've been okay up until yesterday I had more than just spotting - it was still mostly brown rather than red but was enough to soak through my underwear and pyjamas. I rang 111 and was told to go to A&E last night who have booked me into the early pregnancy unit again for tomorrow morning. I've had another bleed today and I just don't know what to think. I had lots of pain the first time this happened but now I have hardly any and there's more blood this time. Was just wondering if anyone has gone through this and had a healthy baby afterwards as im really worried. Last time I was at the EPU and had a scan they told me if the bleeding happened again they wouldn't give me another scan and would instead do bloods, does anyone know what happens with this/what they check for/how long results take or anything? Sorry this is a long post - this is my first pregnancy and I just don't know what to expect! Thank you in advance

When I had a mmc it started as brown spotting which progressed in to passing a lot of clots with intense cramping pain. So it doesn't sound the same as your bleeding. Good luck Flowers

If they just do blood tests they will do one when you go to check hcg levels then have you back 48 hours later to do another to see if your levels are rising.

I had bleeding several times early on in my pregnancy. It turned out to be a haematoma that didn't affect the pregnancy.
I would be surprised if they didn't scan you. If they do just do bloods then you will be asked to come back after 48 hours and they will be able to see what your hcg levels are doing.
Thinking of you Thanks

Thank you @putputput - I've been for a scan this morning and everything was fine. They couldn't find a cause for the bleeding so seems it's just one of those things and not really anything to worry about Smile
