Nursing bras

Hi all,

32+3 and starting to pull together bits for my hospital bag. The only thing I'm really struggling with is nursing bras - does anyone have any good, not overly expensive recommendations and also how does the sizing work thinking about boobs possibly getting bigger as ones I've seen are in 's/m/l' etc?

Also on the subject, sexy pants 😂! It's killing me knowing the Boux Avenue sale is on and I can't partake but what style of lovely knickers did people opt for/have chosen for post birth? Are the big baggy briefs the best option since they may get ruined and will end up in the bin?

Thank you!

I'm 32 weeks today! I went for a fitting at Bravissimo yesterday and got a lovely nursing bra that was still pretty. I'd recommend popping down there if you can!

In regards to knickers, I went into Tesco and got a couple backs of briefs in the size up but in a flowery print so I didn't feel too granny-like!

Nice big pants are what you need. Preferably in black.

I’ve been and got a couple of packs of the Sainsbury’s nursing bras, they come in a pack of 2 and they are more like crop tops, they come in s/m/l think they were £14. They cross over at the front so easy access for feeding. Once my milk has come in and settled down I will then go and get a proper cup sized nursing bra! X

Ive ordered a heap off George at Asda in the post xmas sale. I live in an area where there are literally no maternity clothing (or tall/plus size clothing) outlets nearby so have to order everything online but seemed like a bargain to me :)

I love Bravado bras, I have two and always looked for sales or cheaper on amazon or eBay.

Knickers I love are from Sainsbury's, full brief with top lace. They're comfortable and use them in pregnancy with big belly until after delivery also. They don't cost you massively and if in sale, even better.

Thank you all so much for your replies and suggestions. It's a nightmare if you don't know where to look, will check out those!

Hello I managed to find a 2 pack of nursing bras in Debenhams as they had a small section in there, they seem very comfy so far.

For knickers I've been buying the 5 multipacks of black high waisted ones from M&S- £12 for a pack so pretty reasonable

It entirely depends on your 'normal' size. I'm a 36J (pre pregnancy) and between 38JJ / K now so any s/m/l ones are next to useless! I've got a bralet from curvy Kate which is 38J/JJ which gives a bit of give when I'm fluctuating, a cheapy croptop type one by Anita which is basically just for hospital and a crossover one by Molke.

Anita nursing bras are the best!
