Hi to all, i’m new on here!
So i recently found out i’m between 2-3 weeks (not sure how accurate that is) i’ve been constantly tired, my boobs are incredibly sore, my moods are all over the place Grin i have low- moderate period pain sometimes and i have gone off some foods. Is it normal so early on in pregnancy to experience all of these things?

Hi, congratulations!

Where does the 2-3 weeks come from? If it's off a CB digi, that's a slightly different date, midwives will ask you to date yourself from the first day of your last period unt you get an actual estimated due date on your 12 week scan. Just as sometimes it can be confusing!

I went off chicken really early on and alcohol tasted disgusting so it's possible for your body to start giving you little quirks quite soon 😊

Ricardo9 that is disgusting to write. Why are you trolling!!!

Ells92 · 28/12/2019 12:33

Thank you Sparkle. Yes it was a CB digital one, and this is where i'm confused. My periods are so irregular i just don't know where i'm at, i cannot work out any dates or anything. So please explain (as i'm a little stupid Blush) am i 2-3 weeks, more, less?!

Comment reported and hopefully others will too. Who could actually be sad enough to take time out of their day to make a troll account on a site primarily for positive support?
Please ignore them OP, you have every right to be happy and anything you need support with, please ask away

Aah okay, CB digis go off the date of conception I believe rather than your last period date so when you call the midwife to make your booking in appointment, they will ask for the first day of the last period you can remember and go off that date instead. At 2-3 on a CB, you're possibly about 4-5 weeks instead.
I was dated 24th Feb by my last period but then on 12 week scan it got brought forward to 19th so dates can vary and they're only ever estimates anyway.
Not stupid at all, it just can be confusing to start with 😊

Pregnancy is dated based on a typical 4 week (28 day) cycle which expects ovulation to occur at the half way point. So your cb digital is measuring your pregnancy from conception (likely shortly after ovulation), whereas midwives use the first day of your last period (the first day of your cycle) which adds to 2 weeks on typically. So you would be more like 4/5 weeks. But if your period are irregular this won't be as accurate. It's not important in the early days as long as it's within a few weeks to ensure your 12 week scan falls within a certain window in your pregnancy and then you will be dated more accurately from there. Congratulations.

Congratulations Grin

Yes! If going off a CB Digi it is likely you're more like 4-5weeks pregnant as they do go off date of conception. Everything you're feeling is completely normal! I'm 7 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child atm and have had sore boobs since around 4 weeks, sickness started about 6 weeks and it was the same during my last pregnancy.

Best of luck to you Smile
