Hi,

Posting as not sure what step to take next I've seen a lot of posts about early pregnancy bleeding but not sure who to contact. Last night when wiping I noticed brownish blood not much of it but enough to notice and also the odd bit of brown stringy discharge (sorry if tmi) I'm coming up to 7 weeks pregnant and have also lost all my symptoms in the last few days, I only really had sore boobs and nausea anyway but they have both gone. I haven't had any cramping for a few weeks and have read brown blood is old blood so not as bad as bright red. Should I leave it a few days and see if anything else happens? Or should I call 111 or try and find a number for my local midwife? Thanks in advance for any advice

Call your midwife, early pregnancy unit, local hospital - anyone really and if it's the wrong person to have called they may be able to help redirect you to the right person.

Try looking in your notes (purple folder) for a number. If you've had your booking appointment you should've been given a contact number for your midwife.

Hi thanks for the reply @firstimemamma - haven't got my booking appointment until the 10th but ill check the paperwork they sent to see if there is a number on that. I'm a bit of an over thinker anyway so hoping its its nothing

I'm assuming you've been to your GP and told them you're pregnant - as from what I remember that's how your booking appt gets arranged and you've got it coming up. You could even give them a ring and ask for advice on who to contact.

Good luck. Thanks
