Hiya all I'm new to MN, wondering if anyone has had a similar experience:
Period was a week late an admittedly I had been feeling nauseous and fatigued for that week with a migraine which is always a sign of hormonal activity for me. My period came in the end on Christmas eve and am still spotting but something was telling me its not a normal period. Took a test and its faint but definately there line. Am presuming it could be a miscarriage though if so it's a lot lighter than my previous mc. ....
( I have one Daughter whos 21 months and had a previous early miscarriage at 6 weeks. )
Any advice?! Go not open till Monday now

I've had two miscarriages and two healthy pregnancy's. I spotted and had bad cramps with first DC. It went on a few weeks and was told by the gp to rest. Unfortunately you won't know for sure until you speak to a gp. Hope it's good news op and not a miscarriage. Have you not got an urgent care? Xx

Thankyou for your reply and sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I did think about calling the early pregnancy unit but I dont want to drag wee one along there as my partner is away for the weekend so it's just us and no car.

Try doing another test in 48 hours from first, preferably the same brand so you can compare. If there is progression it's possible you're still pregnant.

I'll go anyways on Monday to speak to a GP.

Definitely speak to your GP if you have a positive test and are bleeding. I don't want to scare you at all but this happened to me at 5 weeks and it was an eptopic (caught early and didn't grow very much so no harm done).

Look out for signs such as side cramps, shoulder tip pain and heavy bleeding if this happens go to A&E or 999 don't risk it.

Thankyou @pregnantandengaged I will keep it in mind. It's just spotting just now but I'll go to gp for sure on Monday.

How you doing today OP? Have you taken another test? Xx

Mrstravolta29 · 28/12/2019 13:09

Hi there, yes another mild positive line and the same nausea and spotting. I am definately going to go tommorow but think ill just prepare for the worst as it has been 5 days of bleeding now x

@Mrstravolta29 I hope it's not the worst for you. Good luck tomorrow. It could be implantation bleeding if it's like spotting x

Fingers crossed for you! Please keep us updated. I'm in a similar situation. I was spotting for about 7 days before AF was due, AF then arrived 3 days early but only bled properly for 2 days. Did a test on Xmas eve and had a faint positive, did a CB digital on Xmas day and it said 1-2 weeks pregnant!
I've been spotting very lightly ever since, but still getting faint positives on cheaper tests. I'm going to call the docs on Monday x

Mrstravolta29 · 28/12/2019 16:10

Oh fingers crossed for you too chlobo90, hope it works out for you and I'll update on Monday unless anything changes
