Took a pregnancy test on Christmas eve as for few weeks I’ve been throwing up non stop and the fatigue has been unreal and I have been avoiding certain foods like the plague that I’d normally be eating non stop.
My mother actually suggested I take a test and I did with the Boots Digital pregnancy test and the first one I did came up clear as day “Pregnant”.
I couldn’t breathe and we were so shocked yet so elated and excited. I called my partner straight away but wished I hadn’t as I took the second test half an hour later and it came back “Not pregnant” and I was devastated.
My mum explained that a false negative is more likely than a false positive so she’s still convinced I am in fact pregnant.
The next couple of days I did 5 strip tests and one exacto early pregnancy test (one of the best French pregnancy tests out there tells you wether you are 1 week, 2weeks or 3+weeks) and all have come back negative and not pregnant. I’m so confused and want to hold on to that emotion I felt looking at that first test but now I just don’t know what to think. Any suggestions as to what could be happening here is it possible that the positive test was an error or a dodgy test?
Would really like to know if anyone’s experienced the same thing here and what their stories are.
