I need a growth scan at 28 weeks. Could it be because of my hyperemesis medication?

Hi,
Just looking for a bit of reassurance really. I’m 28+3 weeks with my first and had my first measure with the midwife. I was below the bottom line on the chart so she’s referred for a growth scan which is booked for Monday. I know its very common and I know its nearly always fine but I really can’t help but be worried. I’ve had hyperemesis and am still taking cyclizine and ondansatron up to 4 times a day (2 each) to manage that and I have an anterior placenta so although I do feel movements, I don’t actually feel that much compared to what other women describe by this stage and its really hard to tell whats too little.
My GP mentioned in passing a few weeks ago that he thought I looked very small for the stage (26 weeks at the time) at a medication review but it was more just a general comment and he didn’t recommend anything else do I tried to ignore it but now I’m worried.
Also, I weighed myself the other day and I’ve put on 3 stone! Which just seems ridiculous because I honestly don’t know where this 3 stone is suppose to have gone exactly as I do (obviously) have a small bump and I don’t feel particularly big compared to normal everywhere else except for my boobs. I’m just feeling like everything's not quite right really and was wondering if others, especially those medicated for hyperemesis, have had similar issues with growth as I can’t help but feel worried.
Thank you
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone.

I’ve taken every anti-sickness med going, including the max dose on ondansetron until birth in both my pregnancies and baby no.1 was 8lbs exactly and no.2 is measuring on the 50th centile bump wise.. so no issues for me. And I’ve done hours of research into anti-sickness meds and never once have growth issues been noted as a concern for any medication..

I wouldn’t hold too much on bump size alone. I’ve had friends who were enormous and had 6/7lb babies and a colleague who barely looked 3 months who popped out a 8.5lb baby! People carry different and often the way baby is laying!

The scan will just be protocol to double check everything is OK! Smile Try not to worry!

I took both of those meds with 2 pregnancies and my babies came out lovely and chunky, I had a small bump with dd, had growth scans ect and she came out nearly 9lb! Try not to worry op x

@Toastytoes1 I took both of those meds with DD1 and she was 7lb3oz when born. They are considered safe to take when pregnant so I would try not to worry!

Hope all goes well!

I am currently 26+2 and been suffering hyperemesis. I'm still on ondansatron and metoclopromide for sickness. I have a 28 week scan in a couple weeks to check growth after consultant advised at 16 week appointment. I haven't been shown a growth chart for baby so far that I'm aware of so will be interested to see where baby is growth wise. I'm only now finally getting a bump but I have a retroverted womb which may be contributing to this.

I was on both med in all 3 pregnancies, 9lb 9, 9lb 5 and 8lb 1

It could just be positional dont worry until your told to x

I took antisickness meds til 20 weeks with my second and she was 1/2 a pound heavier than my first when I had no meds. Don't worry, there is no known effect on the baby.
