Second baby after c section

I had my first baby via EMCS 11 weeks ago. Mine and my dh plan was to have another baby soon after but I was just wondering how long I had to wait after a section. Obviously I know 11 weeks is too soon but I didn't know if there was a NHS guideline on how long I had to wait?

Also because I've had one section am I likely to have another?

Anyone?

Didn’t want to read and run, I have absolutely no clue though as due to have my first c section on Tuesday.

Could you perhaps ring your midwife and ask or the maternity unit/triage at your local hospital? They would probably know everything like that. Congrats on your baby :)

I thought a yr was the normal advice?

I was advised 1 year.

I had four c sections in less than four years. It will depend upon your individual recovery to each one.

I was told to wait a year before ttc

Dunno, but I had 3 sections. 2 within 3 years, and then the 3rd one 11 years later.

They advise a year to let scar fully heal. That's also especially important if you attempt for VBAC second time around.

Was also advised a year, tbh my body didnt feel recovered enough even by the, still had pain occasionally. 2 years on I'm pregnant again and my body feels ready now. I'd advise to see how you go!

I was told a year. Having a baby naturally after a C-Section is reasonable unless the doctors have said otherwise.

I waited a year after having my eldest by a section. My scar was sore for ages and didnt feel ready for another one for the first 9 months anyway.

I was told a year, and also 2 years. I had 3 sections in 4 years but my scar ruptured on the third. I think they were possibly too close together but other people seem to do it with no problems?
