What's your morning sickness like?

I have had 2 full term pregnancies with similar morning sickness: vomit in the morning usually on the way to work and then fine after lunch. Both were boys. This recent pregnancy feels different. I just feel nauseas like I have seasickness. What's your morning sickness experience?

Nausea all day I should say.

Mine was like you describe, feeling sick all day. Was never actually sick though. I had a girl.

CatintheFireplace · 27/12/2019 14:55

All day nausea. Only actually been sick twice so far (now nearly 9 weeks), both times during the night. Really debilitating despite the lack of vomit and had to take the week before Christmas off work because I just can't do anything when I feel like this Envy. Very picky with food and often can't face water for some reason so I get dehydrated if I'm not careful. It's shit.

I’m almost 7 weeks and have had constant nausea throughout, although some days feel much better than others. I’ve had about 3 days of severe vomiting all day but those days have been scattered throughout the weeks thankfully. Currently having an awful day and surviving on McDonalds fillet fish for dinner and sweet potato crackers throughout the rest of the day. Barely drinking water like pp as the thought makes me feel worse so feeling dehydrated also. Fun.

OlivejuiceU2 · 27/12/2019 15:08

Mine been pretty bad. Now 10 weeks and been vomiting most food up for 3 and a bit weeks. Has anyone got any tips? Nothing seems to help even antisickness meds.

thesethingstaketime2 · 27/12/2019 15:20

Do any of you feel dizzy, like you've got seasickness?

thesethingstaketime2 · 27/12/2019 15:22

@Counter27 so pleased someone else feels like me!

thesethingstaketime2 · 27/12/2019 15:23

Sorry felt like I am feeling now.

kemosabeimalone · 27/12/2019 15:28

I’m 13 week and it’s pretty full on still - I’m
Not actually being sick much (maybe once a day) but it’s incessant and debilitating. It’s at its worst In the evenings and when I’m tired which is a lot. I also hate anyone touching the bump as this makes things worse- currently sitting with DS 2 and he is wriggling against my side which is making me feel eewrggh!

With my two boys sickness had gone by now - this shows no sign is abating and Im having a girl (we did harmony test) so I think there is something on the adage that ms is worse with female babies.

kemosabeimalone · 27/12/2019 15:29

Also showering and bathing seems to be a trigger for me - anyone else?

SparkleUK · 27/12/2019 15:50

I never really had a lot of sickness (32 weeks now) but feeling sick was usually triggered by being hungry or sitting in a reclining chair at work - strange!

Actual sickness was brought about by drinking too fast first thing in the morning or a couple of times, eating when I was really hungry

sel2223 · 27/12/2019 16:42

I'm only 6/7 weeks but mine comes in waves and I get really dizzy at the same time. It started off just feeling sick in the evenings but it's been pretty full on the last few days and I have actually thrown up a couple of times so I've got some anti sickness tablets to take now....I've only started taking them today so too soon to tell if they're gonna help or not.
Seasickness is a good way to describe it though.

CountryGirl36 · 27/12/2019 17:19

Hi all - just joined! I am 7weeks gone (1st pregnancy) and the last 10 days my nausea has been killing me. Its so debilitating, all day and i have to go back to work in a week (i am self employed so can’t take time off!). Also looking for any suggestions - i appreciate its more nausea than sickness but i’m pretty much horizontal 24/7 at the moment!

Kezmum14 · 27/12/2019 17:44

I’m 13 weeks pregnant with my fifth.

1st pregnancy - sick all day, every day, after every meal. Didn’t stop feeling or being sick until baby was out.

2nd pregnancy - sick every day, a few times before midday, okay afterwards and this stopped at 6 months.

3rd pregnancy no sickness but I struggled with dizziness from 12-24 weeks

4th pregnancy - sick once in the morning up until 12 weeks then fine

5th pregnancy - sick every day and nauseous all day. Worse sickness every other day that means I’m sick after meals. Still happening now. 😢

May first 4 are all boys.

girlygirl98 · 27/12/2019 21:34

Nauseous when I get up. Better after breakfast and through until 3 pm then start feeling sick again, progressively worse until evening when it gets really bad. Not actually been sick but I feel like it's at the back of my throat like a choking feeling. I'm 8 weeks

WorldsOnFire · 27/12/2019 21:39

Nausea all day until a couple of weeks ago. Couldn’t do anything, drive, watch TV, have the lights on- nothing 😒
Have been off work for 5 months!!! Tried so many meds. It’s been debilitating like awful dizzy motion sickness. Every so often it ‘seemed’ like I was getting better but only lasted a few dats before I was back to debilitating.

ChickenNugget86 · 28/12/2019 11:58

I'm 22 weeks pregnant now and have been sick since week 5. It started off every morning getting up and it was like white flem.
I feel sick most of the day in work which is a horrible feeling but I'm not throwing up.
Usually in the evening it starts again and becomes more yellow - sorry to be disgusting.
Stuggling with my normal meals, just the smell puts me off.
If I eat meat it makes me violently sick and the sick is brown and you can see the food - vile.
I asked my midwife for any advice and she told me to see my gp for antisickness tablets. My gp said to hold out a few weeks longer as it should go. Had to go back and ask again for them as the sickness was getting worse. The tablets ive been taking don't seem to help as I still feel awful.
All Christmas has been a wipe out as I feel terrible.
I know this sounds very dramatic but after this experience I don't think I'd want to have another child and I've not even got to the labour part eeek

MurphyL · 28/12/2019 12:21

Im 7 weeks pregnant with twins, nausea is debilitating im only feeling okay when laying down. Which is hard when you got to work and look after a 5 yr old. I didnt suffer with nausea at all with my daughter.
Any recomendations would be appreciated. Dont really want to have to take medication if i can help it.
ThanksSmile

OhHolyNightWaking · 28/12/2019 13:33

All day (and night!) nausea, if I was sick it was generally first thing in the morning. Although occasionally I would have an afternoon spew, just to keep me on my toes.

With my first pregnancy it went on until 20 weeks, but that was mainly nausea, the episodes of throwing up decreased as time went on.

With my second pregnancy I was still being sick and having periods of nausea in the third trimester. Although as with No. 1 the frequency reduced as the pregnancy progressed. I was still pretty grotty at 20 weeks though.

Babies were opposite sex.

leopardprintlara · 28/12/2019 13:42

Yes, all day nausea eating something small to eat often and fizzy water helped me. All pregnancies were similar 2 boys and girl. Hope it gets better soon @takingthetime

Rosebel · 28/12/2019 13:49

Had 2 girls no sickness at all. This time feel sick most of the time, have been sick a few times and have been signed off work due to dizziness. I'm 12 weeks now and it's not as bad as it was but could do with the sickness stopping completely.
