I'm due 3rd May, still doesn't feel real yet to me

ejmay90 · 29/12/2019 09:22

@ChickenNugget86 I feel exactly the same! Apart from this bump and him kicking I feel completely normal and it doesn't feel real yet. Not sure when it's going to sink in lol!

ChickenNugget86 · 29/12/2019 12:40

@ejmay90 - it's really odd to explain. Even though I am being sick every day, have to take injections every day into my tummy and having lots of hospital appointments I keep thinking it's a dream.
Me and DH have been together for 12 years, we met when I was 17 and he was 20. We've really enjoyed it being just us. After we got married in 2014 he wanted to try whereas I put it off for a few years. Wanted to save and have a few more holidays etc... . The thought of having a baby inside me really scared me and freaked me out.
I finally decided to come off the pill in June this year and try for a year then go to the doctors.... Had it in my head I would struggle to get pregnant but to my surprise I got pregnant very quickly and just was not expecting it.
DH is really excited whereas I'm like wtf have I done?!? Haha I haven't really felt any movement yet so don't know what to expect. Eeek

ejmay90 · 29/12/2019 13:36

@chickennugget86 oh really? I havent been sick since about 13 weeks. I feel literally not pregnant apart from the odd twinge and tiredness lol.
That's not good about having to Inject every day but worth it for your little one. What's the reason for injecting every day if you don't mind me asking?
Aww that's lovely you have had it just you two for so long :)
That was very quick, I guess you think it may take longer so have a little more time and then bang your pregnant so easy to get freaked out lol.
I've had fertility issues for years and never expected it to happen but randomly I became pregnant. Unfortunately that ended in miscarriage in june but we got pregnant 2 months later! I thought that was my only chance but clearly it kick started my system lol! Now 22 weeks pregnant!
How far gone are you?
I've been feeling movements since 16 weeks, trying to work out the difference between what I have been feeling to kicks. Not sure when you start to feel proper ones!

ChickenNugget86 · 06/01/2020 09:01

@ejmay90 - yes the sickness isn't fun at the moment and it's making me very tired. I'm getting used to it but it feels like it will never end.
I have to take the tinzaparin injections as I had a stroke when I was 21, thankfully I'm fully recovered now. It's to prevent me having blood clots as I'm a high risk of getting pre-eclampsia. When I had my first midwife appointment back in September she told me I'd have to be on a blood thinner as well as taking Asprin daily but wasn't expecting needles!
I'm pretty sure I could feel the baby move yesterday and it was freaking me out a little. Think it will take me a while to get used to it.

I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage, it must have been terrible for you. I can't imagine what that would be like for anyone. That's amazing news though that you fell pregnant again and now 22+ weeks.

I feel very lucky to have got pregnant so quickly as many of my friends have had issues. But I feel awful moaning about it feel like I shouldn't be! I'm 23 weeks now and got to have scans every 3 weeks.

ejmay90 · 06/01/2020 10:16

@chickennugget86

Aww i bet the sickness was horrible, but touch wood i've not had any since 14 weeks!
Ohhh god that sounds awful. Glad your recovered from the stroke but must be tiring injecting every day :(
I feel the same, i've been feeling things since around 16 weeks and they are now getting stronger and it is such an odd feeling!

Thank you :) Yea it's amazing how time has now flown by, now 23+3!!

Aww don't feel bad for moaning about it, it's one of those things your so grateful to have but also can't deal with the way your feeling daily!
I'm very lucky i've felt completely normal since week 14 apart from the odd twinge.

Nice to be able to see your little one every 3 weeks though :)

Hi all,

I am quite new to this. I’m due 7th May and hasn’t done much research yet. Hope all the sickness you have will be gone soon I didn’t have sickness much only a few weeks too so I can’t imagine how strong you have to be if the sickness is still there.
