Hi don't know if I'm being dramatic but not really felt my son move nothings produced a kick or anything however I can feel he's moved position from one side to now a bum under my ribs I think! Should I still go in?

Absolutely. You should always check if in ANY doubt.

Blingismything · 26/12/2019 14:51

Yes get it checked asap

Northernsoullover · 26/12/2019 14:51

Have a cold drink while you are waiting but still go in. Even if he does move you know what is usual so still go in.

peanutdust · 26/12/2019 14:53

Always go in.

Cherry85 · 26/12/2019 23:37

We have been in 3 times now for this and fine every time but they always say to go in and are lovely about it.

We were told if anything it's just for your reassurance as you need to be happy and healthy and getting sleep..... which you wont if you are panicking.

Every time we have gone in he has been quiet and then as soon as they put the monitor on starts kicking me like a football and I feel stupid but they just laugh and I have never been made to feel silly.

Anyway - always call or check!

MaraScottie · 26/12/2019 23:39

It's not 'normal' for movements to reduce at the end of pregnancy.

Always always get it checked. A midwife once told me they'd much prefer to give the same good news 40 times than bad news once.

Best of luck op.

Yes go in and keep going in if you have any reduced movement

Grandmi · 27/12/2019 00:41

My daughter had the same problem...I am now cradling a two week old !! She was induced at 38 weeks and the birth was amazing. She was monitored for a few days before her birth and the midwives and Dr took the view that she was better out than in despite the fact she was ok ...I cannot recommend the Royal Sussex County Hospital Brighton enough..brilliant care and amazing staff!!

Bacardi101 · 27/12/2019 00:53

Are you ok Op? X

CloudyVanilla · 27/12/2019 01:15

Hope all was well, any change in pattern should be looked at, you certainly don't want to wait until you have no movements. Most of the time everything is fine, hope it all went okay Flowers

peanutdust · 29/12/2019 17:55

Hi everyone sorry for the late reply I was induced the same night because of his movements and I had him 11.03 next morning he's 6lb7 and really beautiful. Grin

Congratulations!!!!! So glad you went in. So pleased for you!!!!

peanutdust · 29/12/2019 18:04

@happytoday73 I am too. I thought I was being silly as he had moved on the monitor but when he was born he'd only gained less than 1lb since the scan at 35 weeks so I'm glad In the end they did bring him out x
