Hi first post, I’m 36 weeks pregnant. 3rd baby and feel totally exhausted. Not physically needing sleep just feel like if I stood up I’m going to fall down because I simply have no energy. Is this normal ? Had my iron checked 2 weeks ago and was fine. Cant bear to think I’ll be like this for another 3 + weeks 😩

Did they check your B12 levels?

Are you taking a vitamin D supplement? Most people in this country of vit D deficient at this time of year, even without being pregnant.

I'm 38 weeks and permanently knackered, but I'm struggling to sleep so it's hardly surprising.

I’m not sure if they checked b12 I’ll ask on Tuesday. I’m just taking normal pregnancy vitamins. Haven’t left the sofa all day 🙈 I’m not sleeping to badly thankfully. Just don’t seem to have any energy to do anything other than sit down.

I feel you, I am also 36 weeks and I feel like a teenager again, I could sleep all night and then sleep in til 1pm if it was possible. But it is also my third so it's definitely not!

I am slightly anemic though. Have been taking iron supplements which have improved the faintness and breathlessness, but sadly think some tiredness is just down to being heavily pregnant!

Won't be long now :)

Thanks for your reply cloudyvanilla. Actually feeling slightly better today. Only a few more weeks to go. When are you due ?

That is how I felt with anaemia. I’m 34 weeks and felt like I couldn’t lift my head before I got on the iron tablets. Could they check your bloods again? It’s bloody awful feeling so weak and tired x

CloudyVanilla · 27/12/2019 21:14

And yes @Iray357 maybe get them to check other vitamins just in case. I'm due 21st January, how about you? I have a feeling it will feel a long way away now the mad rush to Christmas has come and gone!

Pinkflipflop85 · 27/12/2019 21:15

Normal pregnancy vitamin tablets wont have enough vitamin d in, especially at this time of year.

Iray357 · 27/12/2019 21:16

I have blood tests every 2 weeks as have anti d antibodies so hoping the results will be back next week. I’m having a section at 39 weeks so I don’t have much longer to wait. And then I’ll just be sleep deprived 😂

@CloudyVanilla I’m due the 24th. But hopefully having a section a week earlier. I know I feel like Christmas has been and gone and now the days seem so long! 🙈🙈 I’ll ask about my bloods. Thanks everyone x
