I am 8 days past EDD and I am really feeling it! Not sure there is actually a baby in there. Just had clary sage bath. Am going to be induced on Tuesday and I really don't want to be. So yes, I understand where you are coming from...

Bambi on the Aug antenatal thread is 17 days past I believe. Not bad in comparison!

LOL at Babbits clary sage bath. Might make you smell like damp dog but does bugger all else IME.

It's truly horrid - I was weeks overdue. I feel your pain!

The best way to go into labour is to book yourself a really really nice haircut or something you can't get a refund on for a week's time. And make sure your phone is flat and your car is almost out of petrol.

Anyone for a curry?

Good luck ladies!

Ceolas · 25/08/2007 22:02

Just had curry for tea . Wasn't too hot though...

This will probably not help, but our tiny baby rat (only about 4 months old) gave birth to 12 tiny babies yesterday - she only has 6 nipples, and the babies are constantly wriggling and squeaking and trying to push each other out of the way

Occasionally she shrugs them all off and gallops off to a shelf out of their reach for a break (but only after first covering them with a sheet of kitchen towel - she is a kind and thoughtful mummy )

Just think - you will not be pregnant forever and you will have 2 nipples and only 1 baby!

From the day the test comes out positive.

Ceolas · 25/08/2007 22:05

Dear god, Wendy . Poor sod.

Have tried everything! (except pineapple, because I think you have to eat loads and I'm not very keen on it). Am quite liking the clary sage smell though

At least people have stopped phoning and texting!

Ceolas · 25/08/2007 22:07

Oh the phone calls...

Do they really think you will sneakily have the baby and not tell anyone?

I know they're just interested...

You wait for the bit where the MW says in a resigned expression 'oh are you still here?'

God I have had enough and I am only 34 weeks!
The thought of another possible 8 weeks like this (not being able to catch up with DD, tired, grumpy, too fecking hot! is killing me!)

I dopn't want this one to be born now, it's far too early, but I just wish I could be not pregnant, just for 24 hours!

ooh, the things I would do!

Lyndag · 26/08/2007 22:16
