I’m only 4 weeks but I am really not very hungry and not due to nausea. I can eat one or two meals a day at the most and not be hungry. I’m trying to make myself eat and have a really good diet. Any similar experiences?

I was the same. For me I was overweight anyway, so it wasn't a huge thing for me. I only put on 10lb throughout the whole of my pregnancy and the day I gave birth I went straight back into my normal clothes.

I just ate when I fancied it. My DD was grown on raspberry milkshake (only thing I could face "eating" at times) weetabix and pickled onion monster munch.
I took all the recommended supplements and folic acid as expected though.

I'm 12 weeks and barely touched my Xmas dinner lol 😭. I noticed very early on I was eating everything in sight but now I can only eat foods that I really want to eat. The problem is that most of the time I don't know what I even want to eat because of the aversions 🙈😂.

Hopefully it passes for you! The baby is fine though, baby gets everything first 😆

I was the same at 4-5 weeks, pretty much surviving on oranges, grapes and ginger biscuits. I’m now 6 weeks and appetite is coming back, I’m trying to have small meals regularly and sticking to simple foods I really like and are comforting. Like pasta bakes, jacket potatoes, chicken curry etc and not foods that are too adventurous for me even though I usually eat all sorts. Eat what you can, baby will be fine x

I’m 4 weeks too and feeling exactly the same but on and off nausea for me . Managed xmas dinner today but can’t eat much else , work days I’ve been grazing . DH says I need to keep eating as it’s not good to not, but I’m finding it hard . Glad I’m not alone . All I can fancy is crisps lol

Chefwifelife · 25/12/2019 21:57

@Ratbagcatbag that sounds like a winning combination of food lol

Thanks @BelleBox19. Naff about the Christmas dinner mind. I scoffed mine but then haven’t been fussed about eating for the whole rest of the day. Glad to hear bubs is doing well.

@Annafs and @itsemily I’m 4 weeks too so we’re all in the same boat. Last pregnancy I was waking in the wee hours having to eat a banana to keep my appetite at bay so this is definitely not what I’m used to! X

Just eat what you feel like, when you feel like it.

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 26/12/2019 15:16

I'm the same at 4 weeks. Did really well with Christmas dinner but I'm back to bleugh again. Don't feel like eating but am nauseous if I don't.
Going to the shop to see if I can tempt myself with something, even if its just biscuits.

Pinkblueberry · 26/12/2019 15:20

This is how my morning sickness started - I suddenly was only in the mood for bland food, then not hungry at all and by 5/6 weeks non stop nauseous until about 13/14 weeks.

Chefwifelife · 26/12/2019 16:46

Oh man. So didn’t eat today until 2pm. Had to force myself to eat it and now not hungry at all.

With my son I wasn’t really sick physically just felt nauseous so it’s really weird.

Thinking about it I could smash a chicken and mushroom pot noodle.

I was never sick, just totally lost my appetite... Except for instant noodles and toast!

MissPepper8 · 26/12/2019 21:08

Congrats :)

I'm 28 weeks and I'm still not overly fussed on foods, in the beginning I was awful, I have hyperemesis (getting better with off days) but I could only stomach dry foods.

I've gone of all my fave foods, DH asks me what I want and I don't fancy anything.

pumpandthump · 27/12/2019 05:06

I lost weight in both pregnancies. I just didn't want to eat, so didn't. Both babies were fine.
