Morning MN's
I was wondering if anyone had a similar issue.
Currently in 3rd trimester and on Saturday just gone I had menstrual cramps I've not had during my pregnancy so went to hospital to get checked.
The nurses then gave me an internal to check my waters hadn't broke with a speculum, all was OK and nurses think I had braxton Hicks.
However, since then I have had an offensive smell coming from my private area. I've been showering 3 times a day as I've become para about this and never had anything like this before. I know this is a sign of a urine infection.
Has anyone ever had this at this point of pregnancy? Did your gp give you meds?
I'm really worried at this point during my pregnancy and about taking antibiotics although also worried incase the infection spreads to my baby :(

Thanks all xx

I'd definitely pop up to either the walk in centre or Drs if you can get an appointment, if it is infection then getting it sorted ASAP is really important and if you haven't then it'll settle your mind. Please don't just wait Andre x

If you take antibiotics the infection wont spread to your baby and they are sealed in anyway but go to a walk in centre to ease your mind you want it sorted before baby arrives

Definitely go to the doctors.
If you need antibiotics they will give you ones which are safe during pregnancy. The risk of infection is greater than the risk from taking antibiotics.

Washing too often wont help especially if it is eg thrush, it will make it worse. (To me it sounds like thrush, I've had that a lot and VB) Just wash once a day in that area with cold water , dry it thoroughly and wear loose panties - and of course get it checked asap.
