Not sure if this should be in the fashion section but that doesn't seem to be pregnancy related...

So, I'm 6 weeks and struggling to find comfortable clothes to wear on my bottom half. I'm not showing yet, but I've been getting incredibly uncomfortable with all the bloating and constipation, so jeans are really uncomfortable. Luckily I work from home, so can just switch into my jammies at the end of the day when the bloating is worse, but we'll be spending the whole of Christmas travelling around to various family members, so I need to wear something comfy that's not pyjamas!

For context, I always wear mid-waist skinny jeans (I'm a size 10/12) and only own two skirts, which are both tight-fitting and non-stretchy. I do have dresses but they're all summery ones and it's far too cold for leggings; I don't want to go and look for maternity jeans as it's waay to early and I doubt they'd fit me for long after I start showing and gaining weight (when I put on weight, it's usually on my bum/thighs).

Any suggestions?

High waisted leggings are the comfiest things I've found! I just bought them in a size up so they don't feel as tight and wear them with a longline top, long cardigan and boots x

Why not buy maternity jeans yet?
I struggled with the same and they were so much more comfortable! Wear a long tunic blouse or sweater/ cardigan over them and nobody will notice you’re not in ‘normal jeans’

Woolly jumper dresses! They're all I wear to work any more, and you can get festive ones too!

The best thing I had when pregnant was a bump band. I got mine from Toys R Us which is gone now but I'm sure you can get them online. They're a godsend as you can wear your normal jeans with the button undone and just put the band over the top of the jeans and then hide it underneath your top.

Yes, you need a bump band to wear with your existing clothes...

I'm a few dress sizes more than you but from quite early on wore leggings and Jersey dresses which had plenty of give. I've got maternity jeans from New Look too with a nice high stretchy band but now my bump seems to have dropped they slip down a bit! I work in a smart/casual office and the Jersey dresses were smart enough for there but comfy too.

Thanks guys! The belly band is a great idea.

Honeybee, I've read that you shouldn't buy maternity jeans to soon as they won't last if you put lots of weight on. Plus I'm not sure they'd fit me as I'm not yet showing.

Seraphine jeans i recommend. They have a low under bump band so fit early on. Have worn mine virtually daily since 16 weeks when I bought them, but I was wearing jeans with button open and hairband trick for a month beforehand, so could have started wearing earlier.

Im usually a size 8, and have bought size 8 in these jeans. They might not fit i guess at the end, but atm I think they will last through, and I can wear after for a bit if needed.
