Pregnancy Vitamins Question

Hi, Does anyone know the reason behind why pregnancy vitamins say you need to take them on a full stomach? If it's because that way more of it gets absorbed then I will try to remember to have it in the day. But if it's just to avoid it making us feel sick then I will continue to have it just before bed as I find it easier to remember to take it that way.

I have been taking Pregna care if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

I didn't even know they said that I think I just took mine in a morning when I was taking them... If its best advised to take with food/after food I would follow that instruction though. Can you not just start taking it after your tea that way its still nighttime set an alarm on your phone or something x

I don't know the answer to this but I had assumed it was about not making you feel sick. Hopefully someone might come along with an answer! I always take mine before bed as that is when I remember (I've usually had a bed time snack as well Grin)

Hi OP I think it's because they are fat soluble so they absorb better on a full stomach. I try and take with a meal. If not, as soon as I remember.

Because the iron in them is less likely to make you feel sick on a full stomach.

They make me feel so sick... unless your doctor has specifically said you personally need them, I wouldn't bother! My OB-gyn friend says you only need folic acid anyway 😅 whew
