Last week i had a bad one. My pee was dead cloudy, i had some spotting when i pee’d, pain in my lower/sides of back, and felt generally run down. Ended up at emergency drs who dipped my pee to fine loads of ketones and blood in it. He suggested its likely a kidney infection and gave me antibiotics to take and bedrest.
Fast forward 5 days. Ive literally been horizontal in bed. Always sleeping, drinking lots of water etc. Except now ive gradually been struck with what i can only describe as stinking cold symptoms. Headaches, exhausted, sore swollen throat, throbbing neck glands, blocked runny nose etc. Ive took the odd paracetamol when ive had a migraine headache but thats it.
Is there anythig else i can take for a cols alongside antibiotics?? As in, lemsip or something? So far ive taken nothing and thought just sleep and plenty water would suffice but ive admittedly been defeated by my immune system and feel i need some form of cold/flu remedy, but im aware its likely only paracetamol thats safe to take but i dont feel ‘in pain’ to take them, and just feel something else to take the edge off abit.
Or any other home remedies? Ive gargled salt and water, had warm salt baths and tried olbas oil but so far, not touched the sides.
:( My scans tomorrow, all this just in time for Christmas. Typical!
