Ye I'm here.

endofthelinefinally · 22/12/2019 04:54

I am in another time zone.
Hope you are ok, but you should get this moved to chat. Most people don't really look at "site stuff".
What happened to you?

Monkeyhoney76 · 22/12/2019 05:59

Hey ! Thanks just figured out how to return to this thread. Virgin m'netter. Last proper AF 29 August. Watery brown 2 -day splodge 22 September Usually regular as clockwork. Negative home pregnancy test. Been to A&E with severe pain lower left abdomen twice in a week. Rude nurse said HCG of minus 1 ???? Was in agony this morning. Now blood in urine and watery vaginal blood but doesn't feel like my period. Hospital also recorded high lactate in blood ? Normal e c g /Temp. Been sent home without diagnosis. Terrified it's ectopic or ruptured ectopic.

Sounds awful.

I'm here OP Thanks

endofthelinefinally · 22/12/2019 07:37

That does sound horrible.
Did they test your urine?
It sounds like they should consider a scan.
Do you have any alternative source of help?
Different hospital? GP? Walk in clinic?

Skidzer · 22/12/2019 08:13

Hey OP - there's a Pregnancy board and it seems quite active. If you look at your post, to the right there should be dots, click on those and click 'Report'. In the box where you're reporting, Just ask MN to move the thread for you to Pregnancy.

I think that's how you do it anyway. If no joy, I can report your post for you. Is pregnancy the most appropriate forum do you think?

Skidzer · 22/12/2019 08:15

It's just that site stuff is for when there are technical glitches on the site etc., so nobody will really see your post here.

happycamper11 · 22/12/2019 10:06

Sorry it's a bit confusing. Do you believe yourself to be pregnant/have had previous positive tests? Could it be a severe urine infection. Sounds like you need to go back as it sounds totally unresolved

GloriaMumsnet · 23/12/2019 15:56

Hi OP
We've moved this over to the Pregnancy board for you.

Bumping for you OP.

Hi lovelies. Ahh so nice to find this support! Have been sleeping loads hence only looking now. Going to try to navigate my way to where you suggested. I'm okay. Bleeding a lot. Think I started to miscarry/expel unviable pregnancy whilst in a + e. It changed from watery blood to bright red flow. No 'bits' yet (sorry tmi). Feel relieved. There must've been something wrong to have negative hcg yeah? That's how I'm looking at it. Left tube still giving me the odd sharp twinge. But nothing like the constant and intense pain that made me go to hospital. Plucking up the courage to ask GP to refer for a scan. So put off after the consultant was talking to me like I was nuts. If I have ruptured a tube I can see women still die from this. There was literally nothing I could calmly say that made a lot of difference , nor the fact the only time I've ever been to hospital was to give birth to my gorgeous now 16 year old. They didn't even offer me a sanitary pad. Went home in a taxi with paper towels down my pants! Smiling about that now. Thanks again for caring you lot x

Hi happy camper. Not a water infection. They found blood in my urine but no white blood cells, so ruled out any infection. Plus I had no sypmtoms either. Drinking extra water just to be safe.

Hi skidzer. Your last question just about sums up my last 4 months! I'm smiling now, but have the blessing of a teenage son and this little 'bump' in the road was a very welcome surprise, but a surprise non-the-less. If there was a thread for fuming because of ignorant consultant I'd have picked that Saturday night. And today I'd pick "happily bleeding". Honestly feels like be a relief. Shout out to anyone else feeling pregnant / absent AF / getting flutters - but no hcg. I even got freckles !!! My partner believed me more than I did myself at times. Taking sweet words about knowing my shape and extra tenderness in his touch forward, and will never forget him putting his hand to exactly where it was and us both feeling a strong flick. Wish me luck getting a scan from GP. If I've learned anything it's no HCG = no dice. Bloody stupid when hcg below discriminatory level goes hand in hand with unviable pregnancy , some ectopic pregnancys and early miscarriage. Thanks again for being kind and reaching out, it's really meant a lot. Not wanting to tell work colleagues and half the village I may or may not be expecting has been rather isolating. Cheers for being a good egg (pun intended) 🙋

You sound chirpy, but I'm afraid I'm clueless about pregnancy loss, so I have no advice for you I'm afraid! Have you lost the pregnancy? Did you want the pregnancy?

Monkeyhoney76 · 24/12/2019 03:50

I feel chirpy! Good job it's crimbo here or back to front sleep pattern would be an issue. As is , teenage son is off busy with his gf , partner is busy on school hols with his 5 year old - so I'm residing on the couch and sleeping. Not in work til Jan 3rd thank goodness.

Yes I'd have loved if was definitely pregnant. Still not sure!?!!?! I'm 43 and we tried in earnest when I hit 40 with current partner. When it didn't happen I accepted I was too old. When had crummy 2 day brown splodge in September I thought it was possibly start of menopause. I have hypothyroidism, so Peri- menopause (early) is a thing. It was only when I started glowing and skipping about and horny as hell ( sorry tmi!) and started smelling things at work that suspicions arose. Then my belly popped! I looked and felt 4 months pregnant. Could not get a scan for love nor money as no HCG in pee pot tests. So I accepted I wasn't, but felt confused. Then wow a week of pain. Now steady bleeding but no period aches. I slept through my alarm this morning, but determined to phone surgery at half 8 for emergency appointment and beg for a scan referral. The pain I was in exactly matches ectopic pregnancy description online. Worrying. But less worrying than thinking I was pregnant without the extra TSH blood checks required with my condition. In the olden days they called congenital hypothyroidism (babies born to low thyroid mums) cretinism. It stunts brain development. Hence the insult ,'cretin' . Think that's why I am relieved. If I'd been expecting officially and had had the right care I'd be ecstatic. As it is I've felt every emotion possible! Think that's why bleeding feels comforting now. It's an end to the confusion. Just hope I wake up on time. Slept like a log til midday today 😚

Did they do an internal pelvic exam at the hospital?
You really, really should have a pelvic exam and a scan. Anything less is negligent IMO.

Monkeyhoney76 · 24/12/2019 13:32

Nope they did not. He felt my tummy that was it. He said there was no ultrasound facility as out of hours. Just hope he wrote to GP practice saying I need one. Doubt it, as he was treating with open contempt and basically accused me of turning up to A + E with period pain. I know what you mean. I nearly told him if I bled to death it's on him, but didn't give him the satisfaction of losing my cool.
