Early scan has made anxiety WORSE!

Hi everyone!
Had my early scan today at 8+4 - we had our BFP very early at 4 weeks and it seemed such a long time to wait until 12 weeks for the dating scan, so decided to pay for a private scan for some reassurance.
Everything was great at the scan, could see a heartbeat and the nurse said it was really strong and everything looked really good. Such a relief!
I expected to feel reassured and maybe my anxious feeling would disappear, but now it feels like now that I’ve actually seen the heartbeat it feels real and I want this baby more than ever. Now I feel like my anxiety at something going wrong with my pregnancy is off the scale! 😞
Does anyone please have any advice on how I can relax a bit and try to enjoy the pregnancy? I’ve also told a few of my friends aswell as close family, and now I’m wishing I had kept it a secret just in case! So much worry and stress, think it can’t be good for the baby! 😢
Any advice would be appreciated x

Aw congrats! I think you've just got to think that now you've seen heartbeat and are past the 8 weeks point your odds in anything bad happening have dropped ! Chance of anything happening is small so just try enjoy
I've got another scan Monday when I'll be 8+2 and I'll be telling close family if all is well

Well for one, don’t stress about having told some family & close friends, wouldn’t you want their support if anything did go wrong? I’ve never understood people not telling those closest to them, I think it’s so important to talk if going through a horrible & grief ridden experience.

Fingers crossed all will be totally fine! A good sign at 8 weeks that things were progressing well.. I had a 8 week scan, all looked normal & I'm now 27 weeks Smile For me, I go through early pregnancy with the mindset it’s all out of my hands. There is literally nothing I could do until 24 weeks (viability) to stop any problems. I just have to roll with my body & hope things go well!

Not long until your 12 week scan, hope all is well!

Anxiety in pregnancy tends to get worse in that the more there is to lose, the more anxious you can get! There is support for anxiety - speak to your midwives about how you are feeling and how they can support you. Anxiety is no fun!
