Flowers I am in the exact same position! I've had 2 previous normal deliveries yet with this pregnancy I am very anxious about giving birth and have been from the beginning.

Have you spoken to your midwife? I've found it helps to try and pin point my worries- have you had difficult previous births for example? It's very understandable to be nervous about labour so definitely speak up and get support Flowers

No both my previous pregnancies were natural straight forward no pain relief births. Quite quick too, 8hrs &, 3hrs. But im just so anxious and i hate not knowing when labours coming 😔. I know she has to come out one way or another but i just want it over and done with asap 😔. Also worrying about my other 2 while im in hospital.. what are your worries? X

Awh, I feel very much the same this time around with logistics, me and my partner don't have many childcare options and I am relying on my mum for childcare, but my dad is very poorly at the moment in and out of hospital so I am also worried about burdening her and am even planning for certain scenarios where I will labour on my own!

My other fear which is much more irrational is that I am somehow "playing the odds" by having another baby, and for some reason I keep managing to convince myself it's likely something will go wrong :(

It is very stressful waiting for baby to come along, I luckily have 5 more weeks til my due date but I understand how the stress increases when you are due around Christmas Flowers

Sorry to hear about your dad i hope he gets well soon 😔❤.. my partner is staying home with the children as my eldest has autism and me &, him only really know how to handle her, he stayed with her last time too.. my midwife told me that 3rd babies are known for being unpredictable and quick, and that because my last labour was only 3hrs i need to get to the hospital as soon as i think im in labour, now im worrying shes going to shoot out in the car on the way to the hospital🙄 or when im home..
I also know where your coming from with that because even with my last baby i kept telling myself i was being selfish for having them incase something went wrong..

Yeah i also really dont want the baby on christmas eve/day or boxing day. Just feel they are shite days to have a birthday 🙈 but we will see!!.. both my others came at 40+6 and i have a sweep booked for 40+6 (27th) so i bet she comes then haha. X

I'm only 35 week with baby no3 and been having strong braxton hicks since 32 weeks... My labour hit me really quickly with my 2nd so Im in no doubt this one will probally be the same.. Every weekend I think he's about to come then the pains ease off its getting too close to Christmas now so I hope they stay as braxton hicks and don't progress into labour untill Christmas is well out the way.

Hey OP, have you heard of the positive birth company? Maybe you can either do their online course (£35), watch their free videos on YouTube or join their Facebook page, the positive birth community. It's helped massively with my first birth and now I'm pregnant again I know it will help me again. There's just so much positivity flying around, it's incredible. I was actually very very excited for the whole labour and birth.

Have i got time to do the online course though im 40+1 and have 2 young children and a stinking cold 😫 dont think id even be able to start it. I have been watching their videos on youtube though but i feel like when im in labour and the pain hits ill just forget it all 😫..

@Boymummy3 my second was 3hrs so im hoping this one is the same if not quicker!!!..

It's lots of short videos and you can just watch the ones you feel you need to watch? Maybe write down birth preferences? That's probably what helped me the most, and also DH as we both felt confident with what we would like.

On their Facebook page (and their blog) they have loads of positive birth stories. And I read sooo many which also helped.
