Am I no longer pregnant

Hey guys I hope this makes sense, and I hope this is just me being over anxious about everything.

I’m 8+5 today but I no longer feel pregnant.
No longer tired and nauseous, boobs no longer sore. All the symptoms I had previously.

I done another test and the line isn’t as dark as when I done it 4 weeks ago.

Does this mean I’ve had a missed miscarriage and I’m no longer pregnant? Or is this normal?

It could mean anything, your urine might be more diluted, the tests could have different sensitivities to the last ones you used. You can't tell from those tests.

If you're worried you have two options, a referral to EPU for a scan or a private scan. If you can afford it a private scan might be the place to start for about £80 you should be able to get one today.

My symptoms went at 9 weeks but am still 0regnant and now 22weeks, tests once your hcg reaches a high level which is normally about 8 to 9 weeks aremt as dark amd sometimes dont even detect hcg as to high so it could be this reason I would stop testing and if you are really worried pay for a private scan were am sure all will be fine good luck with the pregnancy x

This exact thing happened to me when I was 9 weeks pregnant, symptoms disappeared and much fainter line on pregnancy test, so obviously I googled it and it says the further you get into your pregnancy because you have so much hcg in your body the test will be lighter I know you would have thought the opposite, anyway it suggested to dilute your urine with the same amount of water to pee so equal measures of both I tried that and low and behold it worked and symptoms returned a couple of days later and I am now 20 weeks pregnant with a little girl. By the way the pregnancy test on the left are not very good I used them I think they are the cheap ones if I remember correctly. Please try not to worry I'm sure everything I'd fine. X

Pregnancy tests measure hcg levels which are higher earlier in the pregnancy and then decrease as the pregnancy progresses, or maybe it's a less sensitive test.

Thanks all. I actually have a private scan booked for tomorrow for my partners Xmas present who doesn’t even know I’m pregnant yet which is probably why I’m more anxious.

Fingers crossed all will be ok tomorrow and I will start to relax (probably won’t lol)

Xx

Your using two different brands of tests so that could explain the colour difference too. I'm 14+4 and the only symptom I really have is sore boobs. They come and go so some days they weren't sore and id panic but my scan at 13+2 went well. Fingers crossed and enjoy tomorrow

YahooGmail · 21/12/2019 12:19

Two different brands of tests could show different results

essexanon · 21/12/2019 12:20

Thank you @mrssc92 I know there’s so many factors in these tests, I just can’t help but worry lol.

Roll on 2pm tomorrow 😬 xx

I can’t believe you’ve still managed to keep this secret @essexanon!

We had our scan today - little bean is nice and healthy, had a little wiggle on screen for us! Hope your scan goes well tomorrow. Keep us posted on your partners reaction!

mariarosa1991 · 21/12/2019 13:39

I wouldn't compare different brands of tests, they have different sensitivities. Try not to worry, hope your scan goes well tomorrow x

essexanon · 21/12/2019 13:52

@Nelbert19 I know!! I’m usually so crap at keeping secrets 🤣 I can’t believe it myself. I’m off to an annual Xmas celebration at my aunts today, it’s always a boozy celebration and I’m a massive drinker so I need to somehow not make them suspicious. At my booking appointment, my midwife said have 1 so it doesn’t raise alarm bells but then Just say you have a headache. Not sure if it’ll will work but I gotta think of something.
Don’t want to blow my cover literally 24hrs before, when I’ve been keeping this a secret for what seems like an eternity.

Congratulations on your dancing bean! It must of been such a lovely feeling of relief for you. Mines probably lazy like me so not hoping for any entertainment lol.

Will keep you posted about how it all goes tomorrow. Xxx

My symptoms went at 8+5 and it turns out I'd had a mmc three days before. However, my tests were still a very clear positive for quite a while after the mmc so chances are, you'll be fine.

Wonkydonkey44 · 21/12/2019 14:06

My symptoms came and went around 8-9 weeks I’m sure you’ll be fine Grin

essexanon · 21/12/2019 14:20

Sorry for your loss @Chanel05 I do really hope mine sticks and I haven’t had a silent miscarriage.

@wonkydonkey44 I should be glad right that all the horrible symptoms have gone, but trying not to worry during pregnancy is harder than I thought

Xx

How did your scan go OP, I've had MMCs in the past, I've been thinking about you this afternoon.

essexanon · 22/12/2019 16:32

Hello @mamimawr sorry to hear about your MMC’s.
we’ve not long got in. Scan went well thank you. Good strong Heart beat of 163, lots of amniotic fluid and measuring at 8 weeks. According to my dates I’m 8+5 and my scan says 8w so all ok. They also do a free rescan again in 10 days and I also have my nhs dating scan on the 8th jan so will be nice to compare and keep an eye on the bean.

OH was in shock, but is elated! Literally can’t believe it. He’s now doing anything he can to make my life easier like hoovering, emptying the car and other bits so think im gonna milk that for as long as poss, I’m sure the novelty will wear off lol.

I feel a lot more relaxed after today and after telling OH. Hopefully it’s smooth sailing from here on in xx
