Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this: this is my first pregnancy and I had a sweep 4 days ago. The reason I don’t say stretch and sweep is because apparently my cervix was already open enough for her to easily do the sweep! It appeared to have worked, I lost my mucus plug the following day and had a ‘bloody show’ the day after that! I felt pains yesterday but today, absolutely nothing! I should also mention that baby has been engaged for around 6 weeks now too! I feel as though I made steady progress then it all just.. stopped 😬 can anyone give me some reassurance on when they went in to labour after showing all the right signs in prep for the big event!

Baby can engage and unengage several times before birth which is a pain.. You can also loose plug weeks before labour too.
Sorry not much help as I never seen my plug it must of come away once in labour already. Get walking about. Bouncing on a ball if you have one etcc keep as active as you can without tiring yourself out.
I will add though with my 2nd I had pains on and off for around 2 weeks within that time I also had a sweep I can't remember when though but the day I went into labour I woke up pain free and feeling absolutely fine... Untill 5:30pm that evening and labour hit me hard not saying it's the same for everyone but you never know x

I was 1-2cm in my first sweep and nothing happened other than some cramping after. Had another sweep a week later and bled a lot, cramping etc. Was 2-3cm at that point. Still nothing! I think it was 2-3 days later when I went into pre labour (period pains regularly) and then 18 hours later my waters went.

My baby engaged and disengaged regularly over the last few weeks. It isn’t really a predictor I’m afraid. Good luck! X
