Static growth at 39wks

Hello,
I've just come back from my 39wk midwife appointment.
Last time I went in I was 37 weeks and baby was not engaged at all, and I was measuring 38.
Now baby is 3/5ths engaged and I'm still measuring 38. My midwife said the hospital will call me for a growth scan and that she isn't worried because a lot of things can affect your fundal height. Baby is still moving as normal.
But I cant help but worry when they use a term like static growth! I also suffer with anxiety so that doesn't help.
Has anybody had a similar experience with a happy ending?

my bubs had decreased growth at one point think around 33/34 weeks and my bump was measuring behind by 3cm at two points as well in the third trimester. she was born 25th November at 38 + 6 weighing in at 6 pounds 15 oz - not a bad weight for over a week early and it turns out she wasnt weighing under at all. these things can really be inaccurate, hopefully all will be okay for you, I'm sure if they were really worried you'd of been sent straight to hospital and your midwife is not worried which is good! x

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow and my bump has measuring atleast 2 weeks behind since 32 weeks but I've had a growth scan at 35 weeks and baby is growing well. It's just that my stomach muscles are really tight and won't stretch much further (very uncomfortable!!)
Fundal height measurements are not very accurate at all

I measured small at around 35 weeks I think. Went for a growth scan, predicted dd to be 10+ lbs (!!).

She was born at 39+6 at 6lb 11. Thank god Grin

As your midwife said lots of things affect fundal height. And growth scans can be wildly inaccurate. Most likely absolutely nothing to worry about.

Thank you for the posts.
A few other people I know have said its probably just because he's engaged now and wasn't before and that's changed the shape of my bump. The hospital haven't got back to me yet but the midwife said it could be today or tomorrow.
I would just love to have him ASAP. At least when he is here I can see him and know he's okay. Hoping he comes soon!
