I'm 29 weeks and 6 days pregnant and for the past 3 days baby has really slowed down with her movements, I can feel her moving but the movements aren't as strong as what they have been.. Should I be worried?

Go in. They’d always always rather see you. It could be numerous things some worrying some not so. But please go in.

Go in. I had reduced movements at 37/38 weeks and had very frequent monitoring until baby could be safely delivered. You hear too many tragic stories to ignore this. I'm sure everything will be fine but definitely get it checked just in case.

Selfsettling3 · 19/12/2019 09:34

You must always go and get checked out immediately if you have reduced movement. Do it now.

SparkleUK · 19/12/2019 10:03

I'm sure you'll be fine but as PP's have said, please get checked out. I've been in once during this pregnancy and as soon as I was being checked he started kicking the doppler 🙈
They do start to run out of room but their movements shouldn't reduce at any time

Even if most of the time it's fine, go and get checked in your maternity unit.

Had this with my last and this was related to her restricted growth. I wouldn't have forgave myself if anything happened and I didn't go to get checked.

Go in and get checked. I ignored my babied reduced movements and she was stillborn. It's not worth it. Go.

KTD27 · 19/12/2019 11:02

Flowers irony in sorry

Thank you everybody.. I went up to the hospital, baby's heartbeat was 173-180 so was sent for a scan and monitered again after and her heartbeat dropped back to normal, just got to go back in tomorrow morning to be monitered again to check everythings still okay Smile

Glad it went well. If it happens again go back in. Doesn’t matter how many times. It’s not worth the risk. I had my baby at 37 & 6 due to several reduced movement episodes. Consultants said women who notice reduce movement have gone on to give still birth. I’m not saying this to scare you but there’s a big move in awareness around this for this reason & so it’s important to get checked out ASAP. Don’t leave it 3 days next time - anything could be happening to baby. Hope the rest of pregnancy goes smoothly!
