Plenty of fibre, loads of water failing that speak to your midwife I believe lactulose is safe during pregnancy.

Prune juice! Definitely unblocks it all!

HI @NishaaS123,
I'm 32 weeks pregnant with Twins my saving grace is tin prunes bought at the local supermarket (ie Sainsburys, Tesco and etc).
Good Luck!

Yep, prune juice. I had some the other day forgetting just how effective it is... don’t drink too much of it!

Prune juice. Dried apricots. Weetabix. All with lots of fluids. 31 weeks and have lived off the above the whole time.

Fybogel sachets are also safe in pregnancy

APD1981 · 19/12/2019 09:21

Lactulose is fine in pregnancy and I was also give laxido (like fybogel) be my GP after I got norovirus when I was 10weeks and it subsequently blocked me up.

Psyllium (or pysllium husk). Whole seeds (in water) worked really well for me. (Tinned prunes / prune juice didn't do much for me)

Comps83 · 19/12/2019 11:50

Prune juice worked for me but is disgusting and then it stopped working after a while
I found fibre heavy cereal with some more fresh fruit thrown in and some orange juice did the the trick

Michette · 19/12/2019 22:40

All bran cereals worked for me and fruits

MissPepper8 · 19/12/2019 22:44

Dates usually work for me, handful of them work. All bran type cereal and echoing lactulose, I used this when I was around 7 weeks. I was back to normal by 10 weeks too.
