Reduced appetite

I'm normally a massive foodie - I love food and love to eat, but since finding out I'm pregnant (still in shock but SO happy Grin) I've been totally off food. Im very early, 4 weeks and 3 days, and find that most women say they're wanting to eat everything in sight but I'm totally opposite.

Is anyone else off food / is this normal?

Hey,

I am the exact same, I eat because I need to and not because I want to or fancy anything!

Good Luck in your pregnancy ☺️

I was the same too.
Had a normal appetite as pregnancy progressed.
After I had given birth for about 2 weeks I couldn't stop eating!

Yep. I lost 2 stone whilst pregnant with my second. But it was ok as I could well afford to lose it!

Cook a lovely meal, eat 2 mouthfuls and I was done. It was either that or I’d eat a decent amount and throw up. Good times 🙄

It's good to know I'm not alone. I've never really experienced being off food before haha

@Melbs6 I was exactly the same until about 2 weeks ago. 12weeks at the moment.
I was forcing myself to eat for the baby, hang in there and eat whatever you fancy if you do. It really does get better xxx

@MrsSokhi thank you xxx

Same here at 6 weeks. Have had no hunger 'feeling' at all for two weeks. It's weird! Am just eating small, healthy meals at the moment and waiting for it to come back

Yes, I always lost half a stone before my first scan and was lighter when discharged by the midwives than beforehand. It stops the moment the last bit of placenta is out. I have been completely the opposite while breastfeeding though. Even now my last one is two and down to one or two feeds a day, I really get hungry and want to eat everything in sight.
