Hi, I recently found out I'm 5 weeks pregnant. I've started taking the pregnacare original supplements. I'm not sure what vegetarian omega 3 is safe to take when pregnant, does anyone have a suggestions? Thanks

Placemarking as I was about to ask this question! I believe there are vegan alternatives which must be safe as its just high levels of Retinol/ Vit A in Fish based ones that is bad. Would love a recommendation for a good one.

I am vegan and you can get two brands that are reasonably priced but very good quality - Together and Testa. They source the Omega three from algae that the fish eat. Good luck!

@Maggie272 Thank you I will check those out
Anyone heard that you should take choline if veggie? I don't want to take tooo many supplements but also don't want to miss out on essential vits.

@Meow0201 pregnacare do some omega supplements (expensive!) and you can get others from supermarkets and amazon etc. Just get ones with DHAs from algae rather than fish oil! (Basically if you google vegan/ vegetarian supplements they won't have the fish oil in so would be fine)
