Cut down on caffeine and rich/spicy/fatty foods.

Try to sleep propped up to help with acid reflux.

You can take gaviscon liquid too. It’s ok but does have its limits. I was also given ranitidine by the GP which I try to keep in reserve for when it’s really bad.

Im 39 weeks and have heart burn every single night when i lay down so now i limit myself to only water for the hour or 2 before i go to bed and when i get in bed i sleep propped up for a bit. X

You can have gaviscon..i have tums instead as don't like gaviscon. Another thing don't drink too much milk as it can actually make it worse (something I learnt recently) also apparently drinking hot water helps... Never tried that one but apparently it does work x

Here’s what you do!
-Go to your GP

  • Get strong medication (omeprazole is good) take care to ignore judgy comments from family and friends who have no medical training 👍🏻
-Stick to bland foods -Pray!!!

I’m currently 25 weeks, I was unwell with sickness and heartburn from 5/6 weeks- really wish I’d not fannied around for so long trying to ‘manage’ without proper help- made me so unwell!
