ARGH make him stop. I'm not in labour, just in pain.

I'm nearly 38 weeks, i've got a toddler to bath and put to bed and his brother has apparently fashioned himself a shiv and is trying to dig his way out it is shooting pains of agony that stop me in my tracks. he has days when he does this constantly the last week or so.

can a baby move too much? DS was never like this what am i in for Hmm

and I'm maxed out on paracetamol due to unrelated headache/DS nursery bug!

My #2 was like, she was exceptionally tall/long...

MerryDeath · 17/12/2019 19:27

@RandomMess mine is supposedly small! I'm being hauled in for all sorts of scans Confused he must just have very pointy elbows or he's very angry about it something.

DS is in bed now so I'm lying down and it's much less painful although he's still going for it! poor DS getting worried at my squawking "did you hurt yourself" "do you need a kiss?" precious child!

I could have written this! I seem to have a baby who is made of elbows and knees and loves jabbing me. My two year old just says “mummy baby ow” whenever I’ve had my breath taken away by another kick. No solutions I’m afraid but you’re definitely not alone. I’m 37 + 6 so we’ve not got much longer to go now is all I keep telling myself!

AlphaLemon · 18/12/2019 03:18

Yes! I’m only 30 weeks and am in agony! Everyone seems to brush me off when I mention it, but there are definite areas where the baby has bruised me!
He seems to be moving constantly (hence the 3:20am post 😴).
It’s nice to have the reassurance he’s ok in there... but ouch!!!

Rtmhwales · 18/12/2019 04:37

Mine did this and he was born at 31+6 so still tiny. Can't imagine your pain!
Nobody warns you on how weird it is for the baby to move inside and how painful! I was so happy to have him out early (and thankfully healthy).

Be careful with a headache, that can be a sign of pre eclampsia...

MerryDeath · 18/12/2019 19:49

@DecemberSnow i don't think i'll get a chance to develop PE! a week doesn't go by that i don't see either midwife or consultant/have a growth scan. why are they so obsessed with me 💁‍♀️
