Early Scan

Hello everyone, I'm after a little advise. This is my first pregnancy and I booked to go to an early scan privately on Saturday at what I thought would be 7 weeks (calculating from my LMP). I had to have an internal scan and only the yolk sak was visible and no embryo. They think that I'm actually only showing 5 1/2 weeks and to come back in 2 weeks. Has anyone had the same thing? I think I'm just stressing over nothing but would be good to hear if anyone has been through the same thing?

This is really common. It is good that gestation sac was seen.
Afraid all you can do now is wait and let nature take it's course. Hopefully next time you will actually be able to see a tiny little baby.

It's pretty accurate though if you think about it we get dated from our lmp but infact are not even pregnant for the first 2 week after a period (depending on when u ovulate/implant) that's the way I look at it anyway but as pp said its good that the sack has been seen. When you go back in 2 weeks then you should be able to see more x

I had this was so worried went back 2 weeks later with everything in the right place and a heartbeat, now at my 12 week scan my dates changed and was put forward a week
