Terrible sickness and fainting

Hi
I’m 10 weeks pregnant and feeling pretty awful. I’ve barely left my house for the past week and cannot work. My heart rate keeps going up to 130 and I go all dizzy and faint. I have actually fainted a couple of times. I cannot eat anything even though I’m on cyclizine and I’m pretty dehydrated and so weak.

I’m seeing the midwife for my booking in appt tomorrow - any suggestions of what I can ask for? I feel so so poorly!

Hi when does your heart rate go up? Ask your doctor about POTS.

@mummykauli7 It can happen at any time even just sitting down or laying in bed. I can suddenly feel it beating through my chest and can see it in my stomach.

Ask to be reffered for a monitor. They can track your heart rate for 24/48hours and then follow up depending on the results. When does the fainting happen?

This is a medical issue, not a midwifery one. I suggest you ring your GP tomorrow morning & ask to speak to duty doctor. They can organise appropriate investigations
