Can't stop fearing the worst

Hi all. I'm 36+4 with my first and am finding myself focusing on the worst possible outcomes for this pregnancy. I keep looking at stillbirth statistics and although I know it's unlikely I just can't empty my brain. I never suffer from any mental health issues so not sure why this is going on. Maybe it's a common thing in late pregnancy? Not sure why I'm posting this, really. Just wanted to write it down I guess.

I think some anxiety prior to up coming labour is normal. Im only 19 weeks with my first pregnancy, ive had some tiny light brown spotting since friday (like occasional tiny amounts when i wipe) and its sent me west with worry. I too have been picturing myself going to my scan next week and finding no heart beat etc. Its really hard not to worry yourself and think about negative outcomes. Its anxiety. But remember if everythings been fine so far and theres no risks been detected then keep that fresh in your mind to power you on. And stay off rhe internet. Google plants seeds of doom! Xx

I'm the same I'm 32 weeks. I find anxiety gets worse with tiredness and I'm not sleeping at all due to severe pgp.
Ive had to hide a lot of threads on here about stillbirth that come up on my feed. As you say, the stats are slim so keep looking at the positives. Not long now xx

I’m 34 weeks and SO anxious! I literally can’t wait til the baby is here. I know then I’ll still worry but this is really hard to cope with!
