Hi all,

Ftm here Grin I'm 25 weeks and now starting to think about what we should be buying. I've got a fair idea on the bigger items but I'm confused about things like how many cot/Moses baskets sheets should I get, how many baby grows, how many muslins etc?

I know we can just buy more if needed but is there a good number? Also asking for any tips/ recommendations anything you would suggest for a ftm!

Thank you Smile

I would get the minimum, as you can always get more if you need more. It's a pain if you end up with loads of things you never use. Unless you see a massive second hand bundle for cheap, then there's no harm in the extras.

You can use a pillowcase as a moses basket sheet in an emergency. Once they are in the cot they tend to be less "leaky" and I find two is fine - one to wash, one to have on.

Babygrows you want enough for a couple a day multiplied by however many days you plan to do washing (remember to + a day or two for drying, if you line dry). If your baby is very sicky you'll end up needing more.

My first baby was sooo sicky so had tons of muslins a day.. brought tons of muslins for baby number 2 and used one a day! Because he wasnt sicky at all only used it for the odd milk dribble.. im now due with #3 and only have 3 muslins, can always pop to any local supermarket and get more if needed..
